Well I spoke with her last night and said the general consensus here was that it's not the case. She says you're all idiots  I think it was just too good an opportunity to pass up. Re: Anyone believe Ferrari signed Hamilton because Charles is a disappointment?
I think Hamilton's presence will require Leclerc to up his game. Either LEC is as fast as he is (and the car just doesn't quite have it) or the team will learn quickly he isn't, especially if HAM is.
Actually, I think HAM will spend the season trying to adapt to the car (probably unsuccessfully).

Verstappen running over Hamilton at the 2021 Italian GP... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VSwwZYDW94 Really? Really. Hamilton had just left the pits on cold tires. Verstappen's hot tires would easily overtake HAM after the slow chicane, had he patiently waited. Instead, VER chose to barge his way...

As an American, I'll just say I care about ESPN's Sports Center broadcast personalities about the same as ESPN personalities care about F1. What was that about when Merc's were blocking Max for no reason ? Were they trying to gherkin him off or something ??? If you refer to the incident in the pit-out tunnel, the Merc was ahead of Verstappen, and he really had no right to force his way past (in the tunnel). An incident there would have...

I thought the track was much better than I expected... the 1.1 mi long straight resulting in many DRS passes, and other corners made for passing opportunities as well. Like Monza, this track didn't have to be special to result in good racing. Light years improvement over the Caeser's Palace Parking ...

Alonso was masterful in keeping Perez at bay for a dozen laps or more. He strategically used his battery charging where it had zero effect on his pace. The last lap repass of Perez was cool.
And I am not an Alonso fan.

IMO, this poll is WAY too soon. Even though today's safety measures mean Verstappen isn't exposed to DYING while driving an F1 car --- as were ALL the others --- the title is not yet decided... 3 points short be damned.

OK, I'll restate for the dense... Of the 36 races held since 1986, exactly NONE have been memorable. Local CCTV not working? Really? Imagine 20 years ago when there was no local CCTV for FIA to gawk at? It was safe enough then... So, forget about the CCTV and let them practice. Fans are there to see the cars run, not the FIA fiddle with it's electronic problems. Reset the clock and let them practice.
