Re: Forum verdict on the Hamilton/Verstappen collision

So just asking the question here. Corner speed aside & keeping in mind that at one point Hamilton was virtually level with Verstappen, by how much does this incident differ from Verstappens pass on Leclerc in Austria in 2019? Verstappen was slightly behind going into the corner the same as Hamilton...

Re: Forum verdict on the Hamilton/Verstappen collision

Verstappen chopped hamilton. You misunderstood Verstappen's actions. Had Verstappen chopped Hamilton, Hamilton would not have been able to dive into the space left on Verstappen's right. I think it likely Verstappen was even surprised Hamilton would go so close to the wall, where the track is dirty...

I don't know whether the stewards indeed have the option to make a distinction between predominantly and totally, but being 100% at fault is also predominantly I would say. Also, the stewards didn't explain whether they laid any responsibility for the accident with Verstappen. I think that regardin...

Re: Forum verdict on the Hamilton/Verstappen collision

I've voted Hamilton at fault. Whilst he did get his car pretty much alongside Verstappen's on the approach to the corner he made contact due to a touch of understeer. Looking at the bigger picture, he played the percentage game where Verstappen did not. Similar to Barcelona earlier in the year wher...

Maybe Max should have taken Leclerc's line too! Exactly. Lewis actually backed off a little bit that's why it looked like Max was ahead as they were taking the corner. But surely we also all remember how Hamilton considered Rosberg to be responsible when they had similar incidents?

I don’t think it’s possible to make the apex at Stowe if you are on the inside. Lewis had too much speed to back out of there and he was almost fully alongside. Max could have taken a wider line. Racing incident in my view but max should learn that he can’t boss his way around Lewis all year long. ...
