Re: TV Ratings Surge in USA
NBCSportsPR @NBCSportsPR Apr 9 RATINGS: Sunday's F1 Bahrain Grand Prix averaged 594,000 viewers, most for non-domestic F1 race on cable since 2011. Any US viewers know if NBC have promoted F1 more this year? Hence the higher ratings. Either way interesting that there is a increase for all three rac...

Re: Right brain vs left brain drivers?
I don't believe people do it because he is black, although I do find it annoying how the media like to perpetuate the idea that Lewis is somehow less cerebral, analytical or intelligent compared to his team-mates (mainly in reference to Jenson and Nico) when the likes of Paddy Lowe and Phil Prew hav...

Re: Ralf and Jarno at Toyota 2005-7?
Some of Jarno's performances at Toyota I feel are greatly underrated. Some of his qualifying laps in 2005 were immense although Ralf usually came through better in the race. I think Ralf in particular began to suffer from de motivation I remember many times when Brundle would interview him on the gr...

Re: Great races in boring seasons?
The races at the back end of 2004 were great as Ferrari and Schumacher struggled after securing the title and everyone else was very closely matched meaning there were some great, competitive races. 2002 was utter dross aside from France there was not a single race that was entertaining apart from m...

Re: Hamilton in Ferrari at some point - what are the chances
I don't see Lewis driving for Ferrari, I think the tifosi would love him because of his driving style but there's too much politics that goes on at Ferrari and I reckon Lewis is sensible enough to stay away from that. Mercedes is a good environment for him and he is already liked within the team so ...

Problem is that Rosberg comes from a country with so many drivers in recent years so it's maybe quite difficult to stand out. There's also the fact that Vettel is so dominant chances are most Germans are going to back the four time champion over the occasional race winner. What I did notice in Germa...

With drivers it often just comes down to luck and being in the right place at the right time. I have been incredibly lucky to have contact with Hamilton and Hakkinen. All evidence points to Kimi being decent at qualifying and not great. The only anomaly is that is the season and half he did alongside Montoya, who Kimi easily beat. Montoya was very good over one lap but just did not perform at Mclaren. 2005 is a lot of where Kimi's reputation came from but he was...

Because they have a British racing license. They have to have the Union Jack on the podium. On the car they can have whatever flag they want if the team says yes. His big mouth and belief in entitlement is going to make life hard for him . How does his "buddy" Rosberg feel now? Hamilton in Silverstone 2008: He literally dominated the race and never placed a wheel wrong but bear in mind that before the first pit stop Kimi was a few seconds behind and closing the gap rather quickly. The fact that Ferrari didn't change Kimi's tires at that stop killed his chances of challeng...

In the long term I'd take Alonso-Hamilton, but in the short Kimi is probably the better option as he at this stage is the more complete package compared to Lewis but by 2015 I'd say Lewis will be the driver people will have always expected him be to considering his vast talent.

He does have talent... did then, still does. His "scrapping for points" netted him two 3rd place WDC finishes in the Schumacher/Barrichello era at Ferrari. Not bad for scrapping in something a bit less than the best car. His scrapping for points in NASCAR reflects two things... 1.) just because it ...
