Re: 2021 Emilia Romagna (Imola) Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thread
Strange to see a teammate so close to Verstappen. Almost assume it's a poor lap by Max. Perhaps Max isn't the Schumacher to Hamilton's Hill after all... Lol I would never rate Hill that highly but he's a nice chap. I don't think Hamilton vs Verstappen is comparable to any past rivalry tbh Surely Se...

Strange how large a gap we're seeing between the new-coming drivers and the settled drivers. Consistent gaps of around 4-5 tenths each.

Maybe we should stop asking whether Mercedes or Red Bull are faster and just ask whether Mercedes and Red Bull X Verstappen is faster.
The quantity Max brings to the Red Bull pace is really quite hard to determine until Perez gets fully comfortable with the car.

So we've established that both Schumacher and Hamilton lost to teammates in specific years due to explainable circumstances. In all cases, they beat the same teammates over other seasons. And we shall continue to go round in circles arguing over minor fallacies in order to try argue that one was be...

Re: Hamilton vs Schumacher and their contemporaries (split from Official Hamilton Thread)
It's a fact that Hamilton has beaten a better cast of characters within his own team (Alonso, Button, Rosberg) and a better driver than Mika (Vettel), the best rival the grid had to offer Schumacher during his best years, in another team. I truly hate to sound like myattitude but Barrichello was cl...

Re: Hamilton vs Schumacher and their contemporaries (split from Official Hamilton Thread)
The notion that Hamilton is mentally weak is one of the most absurd currently being pedalled in all of sport on the internet right now - lol. Acting out? Sure. Sometimes volatile? Yes. Mentally weak? No. Mentally less strong than Schumacher? Maybe. But then again maybe not. Mental strength manifest...

https://www.planetf1.com/news/fernando-alonso-clarifies-better-comment/ What I take from this is that Alonso at minimum sees himself as 3rd best. :proud: It's great to have him back on the grid. I think it's now become a strong field with his return and the fact that talented rookies from 1-2 years...

Re: Official Sebastian Vettel thread
I hardly doubt he'd offer more than Alonso based on his now sustained period of mediocre form. How bad would Alonso have to be exactly to be as underwhelming as Vettel has been in the last couple of seasons... Pretty damn bad by his standards. Is Alonso gonna be "shot" at 40? I highly doubt it. Oco...

Yes in summary we have a title fight, when criticising Bottas and qualifying perhaps doesn't matter that much well just tell Perez that, he couldn't get the fastest car through to Q3 on medium tyres, also it looks like Ferrari are much improved. well, in q2, perez was about the same distance from v...

It's like I said Wolff believes in fairness but not to the point of damaging the team, we want to be comparing Bottas to Schumacher's teammates, the ones that get early season team orders, I don't remember Bottas having to gift Hamilton an early season win at Baku in 2019, when do you ever see Hami...

I've not watched any on S3 yet but I've watched all of 1&2 and plan on watching 3.
