Re: Attending a GP
I'm getting super excited about going to Spa in a few days, last time I went Jenson did pole, win, fastest lap, Grosjean earned a ban and me and my son Laurence bought the orange McLaren winners shirts, think we might be mistaken for Max fans this year cos I'm defo wearing mine, the boys outgrown hi...

Re: The hills surrounding Monza
The ones you see when looking down the straight are the Alps. Quite a walk away! Cheers Asphalt_World, good observation old friend, I wasn't proposing to nip up and down between sessions though, I've been into the alps in Switzerland and France but the TV makes them look like foothills, but I guess...

The hills surrounding Monza
Hello forum, I haven't been around for few years now but I've been a member for a long time and I'm still a massive F1 fan, my question is can you walk up those beautiful tree clad hills that surround Monza like you can in the English lake district for example? They look fabulous. I'm thinking a wee...

Re: 2017 US Grand Prix Race Thread
I look at this from the perspective of a motocrosser as well as a lifelong F1 fan, our tracks in motocross are defined by posts and tapes rather than white lines and if you take a corner on the wrong side of the post to make a pass on a competitor you've short cut the corner and effectively cheated,...

Re: New Qualifying Format Binned Official (Not Really)
One thing I'm certain of is all teams will have been scrutinising the new formats rules so in Bahrain hopefully so many wont be caught not getting out of the pits in time for their second or third flying laps, I expect they'll be a little more prepared so this time around (said with fingers crossed)...

Re: Official Australian GP Qualifying thread
The opening minutes of Q1 showed some promise but that soon turned to disappointment when it became obvious that by the time the 90 second clock started it was already too late for the slowest 2 drivers to react and each successive driver fell into the same trap, it caught everybody except Palmer bu...

Re: Magic Button!!!!!
I'll take pleasure in being the first to post in the Magic Button thread in 2014 and make it officially a decade old, if I recall correctly I started it in answer to the "Magic Trulli" thread following their heroics in the Monaco GP of 2004, it had a lean year in 2013 by the look of it but...

Re: Marussia implies driver error cause of Vilotta accident
If Booth is telling the truth and there was no mechanical malfunction driver error is the only other explaination.

Re: Maria de Villota Condition Updates Thread
So is that Marussia trying to claim that it was her fault or that nothing broke on the car to cause the crash (AKA the anti-stall kicked in) Marussia are not saying its her fault, they are simply saying its not the cars fault, which narrows the scope of responsiblity a little but not by much, its s...

Re: Marussia driver injured during straight line test
First I'd like to say I hope Miss De Vilotta makes a full recover and the facial injuries talked about dont spoil her attractive appearance, that would be an extra blow for her. Yes because without being able to drive an F1 car and then not being as attractive as before what would be the point in l...

The year of the driver??
With all the talk of the gaps between teams being vastly reduced and team principals talking of surprises in the early races is 2012 going to be the year the drivers come to the fore??
Maybe this is the best year for a while to rank the drivers in ability??
