Re: Abu Dhabi 2021 - How has it left you feeling?
He didn't beat him though, Verstappen was beaten until Masi gifted him the title, the ttle was a gift and your words won't change opinion. Unfortunately no amount of moaning and crying will change the fact that Verstappen scored more points than Hamilton across 2021 with a slightly weaker car, desp...

Re: Abu Dhabi 2021 - How has it left you feeling?
I don't agree that Max bottled anything. He is an agressive driver and his actions had nothing to do with bottling in my view. Also, to say that he had the title handed to him does rather a disservice to his performance across the season. I was as gutted for Hamilton as anyone over that final lap a...

Re: Abu Dhabi 2021 - How has it left you feeling?
Interesting that a major french racing magazine has run with the front page that Lewis Hamilton is the 2021 WDC... Thought it was just the British that were crazy fanboy/Verstappen haters Because he really is. Max had it handed to him by a race director more concerned with the show than the rules. ...

Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?
I'd say it's max who is ruining lewis' legacy.... He hasn't done a thing to Lewis legacy. Could only best him this year because of a farcical decision by Masi after Lewis had given him a driving lesson all afternoon. Anyway Max hasn't even got a legacy yet. Will see where he ends up when his career...

Re: Mercedes Withdraw Abu Dhabi Appeal
Pity, but you have to imagine the FIA have approached them behind closed doors and agreed a non disclosure settlement. That's my thoughts and am not surprised they have dropped it. Still thing the FIA need to be held to account. Anyway, Hamilton is an 8 time World Champ in my eyes even though recor...

Re: Should merc take the case to court
I think they should. Not so much to overturn the result (LH is the real champion in my eyes) but to hold the FIA to account and make sure they admit that what happened shouldn't have. The integrity of the sport needs that

Re: Mercedes Lodge Multiple Protests Against Result
I think it needs to be appealed for the sport. Perhaps it's a distraction that Lewis and Mercedes don't need with the technical changes next year but it's so important for the sport that the farcical decision is challenged

Been watching F1 for 35 years but am undecided tbh. This season has had its ups and downs but yesterday was a massive down. I have serious concerns where the 'sport' is going and it's not the F1 I love anymore.

Re: 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Race Thread
Masi sequence: 1). Message all drivers that lapped cars will not be released, As a result Lewis stays out, Max pits. 2). U-turn that decision once Max is back on track and the pack has collected. Lapped cars will be released. 3). Assume divine powers to release only some of the 8 lapped cars. A new...

Re: Mercedes Lodge Multiple Protests Against Result
I think it was right decision to race even though Mercedes was in disadvantage with back-marker out of the way . It could have happen the other way round as well if Max was in Hamilton position. That is how it happens in sports :-| It was never the right decision to move some unlapped cars. It went...

Re: 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Race Thread
F1 needs to remember it's a sport first and foremost What you really mean is that F1 is supposed to be a game , first of all - where the outcome is decided based on the player's own behaviour (within a structured environment), not a judge's opinion which turns it into a competition . Which is also ...

Yep total joke. Lewis had given him a driving lesson all afternoon then that gets taken away by some, what seems like, make it up as you go along officiating. Nothing against Max as he only used the situation to his advantage. I know who I will be seeing as the real world champ though

Re: 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thread
Yeah. Max felt quite good about his race pace. Not so much about his one lap pace. Maybe, RB have around 1/10 or so on Merc on race pace. I didn't see FP2, so don't know what SKY's analysis showed. EDIT: SKY's report says that Max was "much faster" (whatever that means) on race sims. He was on soft...

He has a horrendous sense of entitlement. Thinks he can drive how he likes and everyone should accept it as fair racing. I really do hope he learns otherwise I think Martin Brundle will be right when we look at his legacy

That's bold - he may prove you wrong in the next four days! Sorry meant in the same car and yes I know it's subjective He’s ahead 21 races into a season with an inferior car on balance so I don’t see why not. It's not an inferior car. Yes Mercedes seem to have an advantage now but RB have had the b...

I don't think Max would beat Lewis over a season. Sure he will beat him in a fair few races but he isn't the complete package Lewis is. Re: Who did you want to be WDC /who do you now want to be WDC
At the start of the season I was pretty ambivalent but now very much in the Hamilton camp. In a way I find Maxs antics sad. He is such a good driver and potential to be an all time great. He doesn't need to resort the tactics he is employing. I am not sure he will change either because of this massi...

Re: 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Race Thread
Get in Lewis, get in there. You just cant afford to get close to Max in wheel to wheel racing. Max doesn't do wheel to wheel racing In my opinion, he absolutely does it - exactly the same as Lewis does. They both play chicken (test the other's nerve) and then get mad and blame the other guy when it...

The precedent had been set numerous times between you can and can't crowd drivers off the track. Look at Lando and Perez. And then look at Lewis and Rosberg. Lewis and Rosberg was a lot worse but precedent set doesn't matter. Skysports are reporting he's looking at a 3 point penalty and not a grid ...

I think a statement needs to made. Max has got away with it for too long. A stern warning wouldn't do anything. They need to hit him where it hurts. Saying that, I don't think Mercedes will get anything from this and expect no penalty for Max despite the evidence

I do not think there was anything wrong with Max defense. it was hard racing. Though if they both had crashed may be Max would be blamed more or probably got penalty. I also loved how Perez got the position back with Hamilton but obviously RBR had no answer today to speed of Mercedes. I think Hamil...
