Re: It's getting harder to be a Williams fan

I assumed this was a joke when I first read it. 1103641463634751490 The sad joke is that nobody fears the once-mighty Williams now or moving forward. Pirelli might ask, however, how long Williams will be available to provide cars. What a sad time this is for the glory that was hatched in Grove.

Re: It's getting harder to be a Williams fan

It was bad enough when Smedley left, but seeing Paddy take the fall now... I've really got very little hope left that Williams can emerge from the ashes short of being bought by a manufacturer partner.

Paddy may have made mistakes, but he was also perhaps our last hope.

They need a manufacturing partner. The last time they were competitive was when they had BMW. That divorce was terrible for both sides.

It's getting harder to be a Williams fan

How is it possible that after an entire winter, a team doesn't have some sort of car that can do laps around a track to gather data when Barcelona opens for testing? Many teams have shown up in the past with only partially modified body parts, and even with a chassis from the previous season, but Si...

I'm glad to see Stroll leaving. Whoever remains at Force Stroll, either Perez or Ocon, will mop the floor with him.

Agree that the idea of Williams as a B-team represents a very sad turn of events. I wonder how they went so very wrong.

It really is sad. They are delaying choosing a driver because the choices available all suck.

Why didn't they just keep Massa on for another year? He may be over the hill, but Sirotkin and Stroll? Or Kubicza and Stroll?

Heaven help Williams.

We Williams fans will all miss Bottas, but I know we will all be rooting for him at Mercedes. What a great Williams team member he has been.

And how wonderful to have Felipe coming back. Any team apart from maybe Red Bull and Mercedes would benefit from having him in one of their cars.

I think you Lewis supporters are going to be surprised. Valteri has incredible pace and makes very few mistakes. It's as if he is never under pressure. In many ways, he's better positioned to beat Lewis that Nico was. With a little luck, it's entirely possible that Bottas will be champion next year....

All teams signed up for this. Now Renault and Ferrari will have to live with it. No way will Mercedes let this through. Why would they?

Watching Horner say "for the good of the sport" just makes me laugh. He means for the good of Red Bull.
