Re: 2016 Hungarian Grand Prix Race Thread

Surely a brake issue* as a safety concern should be exempt. *Assuming button has one If it were a serious brake issue, RETIRE THE CAR. Define a serious brake issue... Some issues can be managed by changing bias, lift and coasting etc. "The pedal is going clear to the floor" -Jensen Button. I think ...

Re: 2016 Hungarian Grand Prix Race Thread

Jenson should go and cut the brake lines on the stewards cars before they drive home. We can see how safe they feel then. So you are saying that Jensen thought his car was unsafe, but refused to retire it? I think another penalty is in order for him then. Jenson was told to keep the car on the trac...

Re: Austrian GP Qualifying and Race Thread

What's the penalty for failing to stop with a damaged car? A penalty for that would be a load of BS. Penalise him for his dodgy driving but not for getting his broken car across the line You say that but everyone talks about safety. What if his front wing flew off and hit another car causing a cras...

How the rumour mill quickly begins to start.

A rumour has surfaced that mentions Ericsson may have crashed in to his team made deliberately. However, I have doubts about this, because its stupid and highly dangerous, as we all know. But, it has happened before.

Re: 2016 Monaco GP race thread

So RBR screwed up, Merc gave team order to Rosberg to let Lewis pass (and for some reason he accepted) - but it will be considered a 'genuine' win for Lewis? Shut Up with the rubbish and wait to hear what Rosberg says first There were brake problems, so yes, Merc did order Robserg to let Ham throug...

In this situation I feel both should have had some kind of penalty, but I can understand why Palmer took to the slip road instead of weaving around the humps. Its simply quicker, and leaves less of a risk of damaging the car. However was Mag's penalty too harsh?

I just found it funny that for a lap or two a Manor car was being waved the blues and started pulling away from which ever Red Bull was leading at the time. It was sad to see that he had to pull over to let them pass, but I can also understand it.

I.... can't help but remember Hammy doing some very similar crowing on first laps in other races. For that part I would say its a racing incident, just two drivers wanting the same patch of race track. However, I do wonder is Rosberg's weaving around the track is worth investigating.
