I also find him to be entertaining. He is animated and enthusiastic. I just wish he was a little easier to understand.
The other commentators do a very good job of getting their ideas across. I just wish he was a bit easier to understand.

Problem with Davide Valsecchi
I have been listening to Davide Valsecchi for a while now and always find that it takes almost my full concentration to parse out what he is saying about the racing in his comments. His very heavy Italian accent is a bit much. I am a citizen of the US and don't need for the man to speak with a mid-w...

I don't always agree with Jacques, in fact I sometimes find some of his opinions somewhat bizarre, but I am most often glad to hear what he has to say.

Re: Official Checo (Sergio) Perez Thread
I am hearing some noises that there are some performance clauses in Checko's contract that come due at the summer break. - Clauses include not being more than 100 points behind Max Verstappen after the Belgian Grand Prix, with the current gap at 137 after the British GP. - Perez is also required to ...

Re: 2024 Austrian Grand Prix Race Thread
Good race but I was not enjoying listening to Davide Valsecchi before and after the race.
We need someone who speaks a more neutral version of English. Davide's energetic delivery plus a very thick Italian accent requires more than a bit of concentration to get all of what he is trying to say.

I refuse to vote for either Max or Checko in that race.
Dangerous driving on Max's part and massive under-performance by Checko in a top tier car all weekend.

Re: 2024 Austrian Grand Prix FP & Qualy/Sprint Thread
Is it amazing how it's suddenly very possible after all for drivers to consistently stay on track when you actually put a physical impediment to leaving the track. On F1TV I think it was Joylon Palmer who said bring back gravel everywhere and screw the MotoGP drivers, this is Formula One! Quite fun...

Re: Should WDC be decided in a Play-Off?
As an American, the playoff systems in Nascar and NHRA has pretty much ruined both of those series for me. In league sports not every team plays every other team during a season. In F1, WEC, Indycar, & IMSA every team contests with every other team at each event if they show up. There is no need to ...

Another solid performance by Carlos. Even though he and Charles were on very different strategies and had different tire management concerns, Carlos brought it home ahead of his team mate again. Sainz just upped his claim on the best seat available for 2025 with today's win in Australia.
Not sure if that will be Merc, Aston Martin, or a long shot at RBR.

Hamilton with a cheeky fastest lap while Russell ran out of tyres, that makes up for the DQ last time out, same for Leclerc both on the podium, Norris driver of the day while Ricciardo just made a big statement. IIRC Lewis and George had about the same age of tires and both on mediums. Lewis made h...

I would wonder what the logistics would be of implementing a long lap section of track at all of the various F1 tracks around the world. I'm sure they'd be significant, and I also don't see the point. The drivethrough is a long lap already. Give it to people that break the rules. Big difference. A ...

I have to wonder if the FIA's clamp down on the flexi-wings had something to do with RBR's lack luster performance in Quali today??
Has the flexi-wing been responsible for a significant portion of their performance advantage over the last few seasons???
