Re: Silly Season 2022

Enough of Hamilton's easy ride with Bottas. I've got a novel idea tho... Get George Russell in the Merc for 2022. Now why do I have this uneasy feeling, especially given how absolutely delighted Bottas is recently to play second fiddle to Lewis in terms of his demeanour and words in interviews afte...

I wouldn't say he's done. A strong end to the season would shift the narrative towards him just having struggled to adapt to the McLaren and a settled within the team Norris having got the jump on him. He still has credit in the bank but absolutely has to beat Norris next season I feel to get some '...

Just read on a social media post Mercedes wish to get Nyck De Vries alongside Latifi in Williams. I thought that's where Bottas was going to go. If Bottas stays put then where does Russell go?
I'd wager that Bottas is going to be given the sweetener of leading the Mercedes Formula E team.

I reckon the chances of a repeat or 'revenge' is pretty slim now. I'm sure they'll be some hairy moments but these two aren't out of control willy measuring teenagers who are going to go out there and be reckless for the sake of it.

Best I can say is it was mildly entertaining for the novelty value and I’m sure it was great for the fans at Silverstone. But I was left with the feeling of it being unnecessary, and I also thought there is more potential for things to go wrong than right i.e. it risks putting drivers outside posit...

Re: Uncharacteristic errors from Hamilton and Verstappen

Comparing Verstappen's prime to that of 'usual' drivers is of course a nonsense given that he has been in Formula One since 2015 and is now in his seventh season. A lot of F1 drivers of modern history were at the halfway point of their careers 7 seasons in. Most 23 year olds will be in their first f...

I hope Max returns the favor in the future. Senna vs Prost in the making. I think we live in different times, a deliberate take out would surely result in a race ban. It should. It never has. When was the last time it happened? Baku 2018. You must mean Baku 2017 right? The Vettel/Hamilton incident?

Re: How will Max and Lewis race each other for the rest of the season?

Through a combination of good PR and saying the right things in front of the media, Hamilton has managed to make Verstappen believe that he’s a good sportsman when things get heated. This could not be further from the truth, and Verstappen has learned this the hard way. He trusted Hamilton in a hig...

For all this talk about how dirty Verstappen is, he’s been sitting on 0 penalty points for the last 2 years now. Hamilton on the other hand has been collecting them like Pokémon cards. Hamilton's race pace is more impressive than his qualifying pace these days aside but that's not to say he can't wow on Saturday. Singapore 2018 was phenomenal as was Styria 2020 to name but a few.
