Ferrari 2014- Another 3rd row year

I am very upset. We have 2 of the best 6 drivers on the grid (Alonso, Hamilton, Button,Vettal, Kimi, Nico. not in that order) and the car today is a dog. How can this be? It paperers the engine is not the best but its better than the Renault. It must be the design and Aero I just don't understand th...

Re: UPD: Ricciardo DSQ for breach of fuel flow limit, RB app

Exactly. If you could get all that data from the ECU logs and accurately and reliably infer the fuel flow rate, then there would be no need for an additional sensor. As there is an additional sensor, we must logically infer that you cannot accurately and reliably infer the fuel flow rates from the ...

Re: Ron Dennis- I think he has a great point

There's a huge bunch of issues around cost-cutting... in general Ron is right, F1 is expensive but also it shouldn't be SO expensive that only 3-4 teams can compete. 1) Bernie / CVC keep too large a slice of the pie (around 50%?). They shouldn't keep more than 25% and redistribute the rest to the t...

I've been saying the same thing as Ron - it cannot be policed. If you have a rule that cannot be policed, you don't have a rule (except for honest losers). The answer was not to waste money on the fuel saving rubbish that they have stuck on the cars. Change the rules so that you have to spend huge ...

Re: Ron Dennis- I think he has a great point

I disagree completely. The smaller teams are essential to F1; if you lose them then you end up with a grid composed of three or four teams each running several cars who then have team orders imposed on them to prevent them from racing each other. As far as I'm concerned the more teams we have the b...

All the above is basically supposition and conjecture. It's possible you are right, but it's not relevant unless you can prove you are right. I used to hope that one day McLaren would build their own engines. That pattern runs throughout their history (road cars and Formula One), and is part of why the...

Sounds very cunning. According to Gary Anderson on Autosport it gives more downforce at low speed, less drag at high speed, is legal, and not easy to copy! How many wins is that?
