Tim,

I believe there is a typo for the final race results, in that Ferrari should be p , 10; not 6 , 10.

Cheers, Adro783
Yes you're right, sorry. I entered it right in my spreadsheet though, so the points were all correct I think!

Re: 2020 British Grand Prix Race Thread

If they were a series of punctures why did so many cars complain of vibration, Bottas, Sainz, Norris? Watching the replays the tyres did not look punctured by debris. In that case they would have gone down fast and/or exploded quickly. What happened was a structural failure in the side-walls, which...

It's all about money. As the costs and the technical excellence required of F1 teams rise every year the number of teams able to spend at the highest level is reduced. In the past few years 'the big 3' have had it all their own way as we know. And the momentum generated by the huge investments neede...

To me, drivers wearing masks all the time - even for the post-race interviews conducted out of doors, at a distance - seems absurd. It is hard to hear what they say and I imagine it's really a pain to take off a hot crash helmet and have to put on a mask! I'm sure F1 think they're setting a good exa...

A racing incident, as both Coulthard and Webber called it. This looks a little like an anti-Lewis campaign by an F1 desperate to ...

Only thing I wanted to offer up is regarding reversed grids. They divide opinion so strongly but really only because of what we have been used to for so long. Thing to remember is that qualifying as we know it exists only as a solution to a problem - that being that you can't start the cars line ab...

Re: How F1 should ultimately be formatted

I agree with all the above naysayers. I'd also add: Two one-hour races may seem to equate to one two-hour race but that's like saying two three-set tennis matches equate to a five-set match. The tests of a two-hour GP are driver fitness and stamina; pacing; being able to look after the car and tyres...

Re: Customer cars

There seem to be 2 possible ways of allowing customer cars. Over the long term both seem to me unworkable: 1) Allow top teams to sell their last year's car or plans, so smaller teams can race the car or copy it. This is okay when regulations do not change from one year to the next, but if they do it...

Customer cars

Christian Horner has said a way to help teams financially would be to allow customer cars again. (I'm guessing this practice was banned back in the '80s - it was certainly common up until then). So, instead of trying to copy last year's Mercedes, Racing Point could just buy one and run it themselves...
