Re: 2020 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Race Thread
Always a boring race this one, such a waste to have this as the season finale... take it back to Brazil! Well done Max... faultless drive start to finish. I think Hamilton is probably feeling the effects of Covid still. Another few laps and Albon could have pinched that final podium spot. Stroll is ...

Re: Predict the next World Champion
I've gone with Russell. Hamilton will win every season until he decides to retire... By then George will be in the Merc and with no signs of them slipping down the field he has to be favourite. I really hope there's a big change to the dominance when the new regs come in in 2022.

It's going to be a long race in these conditions. Anyone could win this today, it only takes one mistake ro ruin your chances. It's got a feel of Hockenheim 2019.

Realistically the only capabale teams with a chance of winning will most likely be Merc, Ferrari and Red Bull. So that just leaves Albon. I can't see him getting a win this season though.

They can moan that they missed the cut off but at the end of the day they had what? 6 minutes to get out? If they all want to play games and wait for the tow etc then it's tough.

Well done Leclerc, you really did deserve that one.
Good solid race today. Hats off to Albon for bringing it home in 5th, I wonder what Max could have achieved if it wasn't for the blunder going into turn 1.
Absolutely gutted for Norris.

As mentioned by the OP, I can see arguments for and against changing this section of the track. Personally, I wouldn't want Eau Rouge or Radillon to be altered. It is one of the most iconic sections of any race track in the world. Hubert's death is an incredibly tragic accident. A freak accident at ...

Re: R. I. P. Anthoine Hubert.....
I know he had a victory in Monaco and in France. Very sad day. Anticipation of the F1 race is now in a somber mode. One has to ask himself, would a sand trap/any trap save his life, and it probably would, because the car would not bounce back to the racetrack (actually the asphalt was not a part of...

Gasly closer to Verstappen than he was in a Red Bull. Was the Renault of DR on low tanks? If not, impressive time from him. I won't hold my breath...but maybe Renault just made a small jump.. Even worse is Vettel's unsportsmanlike behaviour after the race in the parc ferme. Just an observation from all the cars so far, all the front wings are MASSIVE! It's amazing how much bigger they all look, even if they are simpler aero wise.
