Re: 2021 P-F1 Group Pick 'Em

I've just been looking at the scores. JN23 was right about my mistakes post Austria - for some reason jokers weren't registering for a couple of us. I've redone the formulae and the standings are as follows: 1 - EXEDIRON - 5165 2 - JN23 - 5127 3 - ICEMANJEE1 - 5012 4 - P-F1 GAMES MASTER - 4989 5 - ...

Re: Hamilton/Verstappen British GP 2021 Collision Discussion

Part of Red Bull's new evidence was 'a re-enactment of Hamilton's lap 1 line' based on a lap by Albon in a Pirelli tyre test. Odd... As the below tweet points out, the re-enactment wasn't actually on the day of the Pirelli tyre test, rather a private test day. https://twitter.com/LukeSmithF1/status...

Re: 2021 Drivers Points/£m

I don't trust the P-F1 information (or any other, really), but I would agree that Norris is almost certainly the best value on the grid. One thing to consider -- although it would be complicated to create a formula to adjust for -- is the point earning potential of the car. It's far easier to deliv...

Re: 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thread

Although Hungary is a dreadful circuit for passing, if I were Max, I'd take the penalty for a new engine as I'd still expect to get a massive haul of points, even if it's for finishing third or fourth. Far better than a dnf. They wouldn’t be due a penalty would they, as the next one would be engine...

Couple of things: 1. Marko says that their new evidence will show the incident in a new light. 2. When asked what an appropriate penalty would be, Marko said something that would have prevented victory, such as a drive through or suspension. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/marko-new-red-bull-evide...

Nonetheless, Verstappen’s race pace is better than his qualy pace anyway. I'm not sure I agree with that. A hallmark of a driver with better race pace than qualifying would be to frequently challenge for wins in races where they were uncompetitive in qualifying, and we don't really see that from Ve...
