Re: World Cup 2018
Agree that Uruguay were impressive, them vs France in the quarter finals is going to be good. Belgium last night was a great comeback, but I was gutted for Japan who were excellent and a lot better than I thought coming into the tournament. England tonight, 50-50 game. Not sure England will ever get...

Hamilton was on course to be 31 points clear of Vettel early in the race, now he is one point behind. VSC strategy + both cars having mechanical issues = terrible day for Merc.

This is the Vettel blocking Sainz incident in Q3- looks like he impeded Sainz to me but as both got into Q3 so I don't think Vettel will be penalised.

Re: 2018 Austrian Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thre
Well done Bottas. 3/10s from Merc to Ferrari on a very short lap, ominous? That's a real surprise (the gap). Would like to see if Vettel made an error, or if that is just true pace. He looked a little hesitant but no obvious mistake. He did have purple (i think) for S2 though which is when I though...

Yeah I guess you are both right on needing someone with experience. Should they not chase someone like Perez instead then? There's been a few stories they've offered Ricciardo a lot of money to join them who would fit the bill but that's not going to happen.

Any grid penalties this race? Not as of now but Verstappen & Leclerc had car issues in the dying moments of P3. Confirmation all is fine yet to come from both the teams. I doubt Mercedes will let Ocon go to be honest. He's their Verstappen/Leclerc. I can see McLaren trying for Perez again though, if it doesn't work out with Ricciardo... which would free up the spot for Russell at Force India. They could loan him out like Sainz to Renault for a year (or two if neede...
