Re: 2018 British Grand Prix Race Thread
The chap lost out on a win at his home race, something he admittedly values very highly. A moment to compose himself shouldn't be seen as anything more. Ignore the posters who just want to pounce on this like he committed treason. Anyone with any sense of what it's like to pour your heart and soul ...

Lewis would have won that if not punted off. Even with the bad start. Given his pace with a damaged car that is absolutely possible. Räikkönen robbed us of a fair duel for the victory. But his team is obviously happy with the gift he gave them. ;) What damage? Also, Lewis' start out him at risk and...

Hm well given the start, that's not a bad result for Ham :) Only Lewis can pull something like that of. Well ... most of his overtakes looked like a rocket ship against Ladas ... Mercedes have had a nightmare. 0 points from a race where they were quickest and due to no less that 3 different f*** ups in the same race. Vettel has to be kicking himself for that silly block on Sainz, he could've won that. I don't think he will be. Realistically he should be about 26 points behi...

I doubt the owners are thrilled with the stewards decision, but the team let Seb down and it's a slam dunk penalty. The championship is starting to look a long shot, and with the races generally being very boring viewers will soon start tuning out as Hamilton coasts to another title. Wow, what a de...

I don't think it's harsh at all and everyone knows how much I want Seb to beat Hamilton. The team should have warned him on the radio, so I put this down as another Ferrari mistake. It has ruined a potential fight for the win as the Mercs won't be racing too hard, and Seb is now fighting to just try...

Silly games from Mercedes, but clearly the new spec engine has given them a big advantage over the field. Another dull race in prospect - Mercedes 1,2 Ferrari 3,4, and expect a retirement for one of the RB's. It's only a dull race if you think that Mercedes are going to win, also the new engine is ...

No doubt Ferrari excuse will be their tyres would never have lasted. Maybe true, but they should have tried to run them to the end. I doubt they’d have lost that much if they had been forced to pit nearer the end, than what they lost anyway.

What are the odds on Vettel getting past Verstappen in one piece? Looks like Ferrari threw away 2nd place. Ferrari don't have the pace so track position was their only chance. It is a bit weird that the FIA say the new design is illegal but they will let Ferrari run an illegal car for a weekend anyway and score points. Vettel lost the race because he was too greedy on the restart. With the benefit of hindsight, he should have stayed behind Bottas and just waited for the race to fall into his lap. At the time however, it seemed like the best chance he had to retake the lead. The important thing was being ahead of ...

He should go to Mercedes and deal with Hamilton without mercy. Hamilton was keen to stop it happening, so go there and do the business against the guy who thinks he’s the god of F1. He does deserve a drive for either Ferrari or Mercedes to really challenge for the championship, because it’s clear Re...
