Re: Planet F1 Driver Ratings 2019

I disagree - Leclerc's efforts in Italy were very much worthy of a penalty. And, given Ferrari's cheating (it's pretty clear that they were doing something illegal . When you can't get past the car in front on the circuit with the fastest and longest straights, with a tow, and with DRS, something i...

1 race for Hamilton fighting a bit to the back, and suddenly the drama starts. Because he started in front for the last million years of course he will complain about not being enough space, cause it's uncharted teritory for him. At the same time, Verstappen is Verstappen. Re: Gunther Steiner in hot Water?

Firstly, Steiner has the right to criticise the stewards - they're not beyond reproach. Secondly, it was the FIA that broadcast a private conversation between Steiner and his driver, thus making the remarks public. That's the FIA's fault. Lastly, the stewards, have, for the most part in 2019, been D...

Personally, 10-6 I felt over valued a win, hence Schumacher winning the title in July. Shouldn't a totally dominant driver win the title early? You can use any point system you like and Schumi would have won the title pretty early in 2002. EXACTLY. The owners of F1 are worried that crowd and TV att...

I mean, let's assume Hamilton wins in Japan and then has 4 DNFs in the final 4 races, and Bottas wins the WDC by winning the last 4 races. It'd be 10 wins to 7 wins...certainly not fair and rewarding for being the dominant driver in the season imho...there is too much focus on reliability in the sp...

Re: Intresting facts and nuggests going into japan.

If Hamilton wins in Japan and Bottas has a DNF, the title chase is all but over. Bottas would need to win all 4 remaining races and rely on Hamilton having 4 DNFs (i.e. very unlikely). I am a firm believer that the race winner should get far more points than 25 - something like 30 (vs the same point...

Well, we might as well get rid of pit stops altogether (make drivers run their tyres for the entire race). Get rid of SC and VSC and bring back double yellow flags. That'll sort the men out from the boys.

I have to laugh at Di Resta's comments about the VSC, and of course, many in the community too.
