Re: 2017 Italian Grand Prix Race Thread
Playing with the crowd, big deal. Who wants twenty odd PC F1 drivers who are boring. Imo I'd rather a few personalities in there, like someone to tell the race director to f off, oh wait wrong driver

Re: 2017 Italian Grand Prix Race Thread
I'm not watching the race, was vettel let through ? Should be fairly obvious. The right decision if they did imo, not sure why people get defensive about it

I can see a clean getaway Ferrari 1 - 2 after 1 lap. Kimi falling away from vettel and holding mercs up. Kimi jumped in the pits but too little too late. Vettel win

Vettel has been there all season. Both him and Hamilton have had some good / bad luck. Toss a coin for who is the better driver and as we all guess the WDC this year will come down to the car and probably how the luck falls

Yep it's pretty bad. And of course Lewis is never beaten on merit that just isn't possible . There is always some mitigating factor ,

Re: Hamilton vs Bottas, adjusted for Luck
It's strange isn't it. When I think back over the season so far you have to say Hamilton has been the quicker driver, but as you point out adjusted for pick pretty even points wise. Same story as ham vs Rosberg? Too many and highs and lows for Lewis whilst bottas maintains a similar level

There doesn't have to be some reason why Hamilton didn't get pole, outside of both bottas and vettel being quicker. The other guys just had better runs and were quicker

Re: 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Race Thread
If anyone is interested in a non fam boy view It was vettel error going into the back of Hamilton. He is the only one pushing the brake check story and a number of media outlets claim stewards looked at Hamilton data and no issues. Vettel simply got caught out trying to guess when Hamilton was going...

Re: 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Race Thread
There seems to be a lot of hysterical reactions to today's Hamilton-Vettel incident, but as far as I can see, the following has happened: - cars were following the safety car with Hamilton in the lead, Vettel in second, and Ocon (I think) in third - Hamilton was driving extremely slowly behind the ...

Re: 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Race Thread
They have to give vettel more than 10 seconds for that madness! Also they should investigate Lewis to see if he did brake check or drive unreasonably slow out the corner. Can't help feel it didn't exactly work itself out with vettel finishing ahead of Hamilton. Are they saying the hit in the back di...

So which drivers who have never disobeyed team orders should Ferrari go out and sign then? The amount of hyperbole I'm reading is unreal. Re: Ferrari/Mercedes has the faster car? (post barcelona &
It's clear the Ferrari was the quicker car in Monaco, but whether that was helped by the nature of the circuit (SWB vs LWB) will become clearer after Canada. But consider this. It's been taken pretty much as gospel that the Ferrari is much kinder to its tyres than the Mercedes and that is one of it...
