Re: The Official Lewis Hamilton thread

Maybe that's why he hasn't re-signed yet. Waiting to see if he has a viable career in music to go on to.

Re: My god I love Le Mans

If Jenson wins (!) if would be ammusing for him to taunt Fernando on going to Indycar to achieve the triple crown before he does :) He's not going to win LeMans, but even if he did, Jenson doesn't want to race Indycar - he's ruled it out, according to ESPN: http://www.espn.com.au/f1/story/_/id/2103...

Re: Silly Season 2019

Is it too crazy to imagine Hamilton dawdling for so long over the Merc contract that they could opt with Ricciardo instead in a shock deal, leaving Hamilton out to dry? That might risk Hamilton turning up at Ferrari plus I'm not convinced they would view Ricciardo as being as good as Hamilton, reme...

Re: Ricciardo 2019 contract. Where will he end up?

Very tough to call. I voted he will replace Sainz even though in my heart I bet he will stay at RB (Yes i know makes no sense how I voted). Emotionally, I'd hate to be 2nd fiddle to Max at RB if I were Danny. where is the evidence he is 2nd fiddle? Good call out, my comments were based on opinion n...

Re: Who was at fault, Ricciardo or Verstappen? (Baku 2018)

The most baffling thing is that both drivers declined to apportion blame, which is down to the RB PR machine I guess and suited Max fine to just brush it off. But I'd expect Daniel to be furious with his team mate, absolutely furious. He stood there just saying exactly the same line, no point into ...

Re: when, and to where, will the Ricciardo move take place?

Interesting article from Mark Hughes: https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/opinion/f1/ricciardos-itchy-feet-and-ferrari claiming Dan has signed a pre-contract agreement, and probably with Ferrari, with negotiations still to take place. If it's true, some of these negotiations will undoubtedly revolve ...

Re: when, and to where, will the Ricciardo move take place?

Daniel should be looking at the situation which happened in the Chinese GP where Ferrari used Raikkonen to hold up Bottas and allow Vettel to attack. Raikkonen was in a reasonable position until that point, but the strategy almost wrecked his race. I can’t inagine Mercedes or Red Bull doing the sam...

It must be night time in Australia. I expect this to be a multi-page thread when they´ve woken up  The race was on at 4:10pm yesterday here in Australia. We spent last night celebrating that brilliant win ;) . A win for the mechanics, the RB strategists whose quick thinking under the SC gave b...

Re: when, and to where, will the Ricciardo move take place?

The rumour is that he has signed a pre-contract with Ferrari meaning that if he leaves Red Bull then he goes to Ferrari, he's not going to walk out on Red Bull in the hope of getting a seat at either Ferrari or Mercedes. And both Dan and Helmut Marko have denied this apparently...there's articles o...

Re: when, and to where, will the Ricciardo move take place?

The problem for Dan is that RBR have a couple of RB family drivers (Sainz and Gasly) waiting in the wings to take his seat that would complement Max, which I guess is why they're piling on the time pressure. The problem for RBR is that while Dan is not as ultimately fast as Max, he does have stella...

Re: Verstappen says he can easily pass one of the top 5. who

Eventually Verstappen will realise he can't just put his car wherever he wants and expect the move to work. He crashes more than any driver since Maldonado, and always has the gall to put forward some fanciful excuse for why he cocked it up. Exactly. He needs to learn a little patience, and the "He...

Re: Hamilton's and Vettel's Relationship (+ other relationsh

I think the single most poisonous relationship in recent times has to be Hamilton and Rosberg. And I think it's more Hamilton disrespecting Rosberg than vice versa. Nico's WDC last year, and retirement, still really gnaws away at Lewis, as he said after the race today "Obviously each year I could do...

I suppose it could be thought of like the Olympic opening ceremony where it's an over-the-top display which highlights the hosting countries individual culture and quirks. In that sense it's something which I think would be a great addition to every weekend. So before the Australian grand prix ever...

Re: Sky Sports F1 Channel...

Unfortunately, i have no choice but to watch the sky sports coverage. The hamilton love in towards the end was just unbearable, it was ridiculous. Agree totally. As an F1 fan who isn't in Britain, I've almost had enough of Sky and their blatant Hamilton favouritism, but aside from 10 races a year w...

Definitely Ricciardo for me. He drove the wheels off that car all weekend, only to be let down by his team at the 11th hour.

Special mention to Perez for a great drive on Sunday to claim a P3 for Force India, too.

Re: Monaco, tyre strategy and Ricciardo

I really hope Ricciardo nails this GP after the strategy debacle last race. I'm not implying there was a conspiracy, it was just the way things work out sometimes, but you could see it stung him. I think his response this week though, shows his maturity and talent as a driver. As a Ricciardo fan, I'...

Hi guys! I'm from Australia (Sydney) and have been following F1 for about 12 years or so. I don't follow a team really, but favourite drivers are Ricciardo, Button and Alonso. Can't stand Hamilton AT all... I also hope Kyvat can turn his fortunes around and really make a few people sit up and take n...
