Re: Russell's pts vs Hamilton's
I think he's doing a solid job, the points flatter him a bit but as we all know you've got to take the hand that's dealt you. In regards to quali pace I think he is roughly even with Hamilton or a tenth behind. In Hungary Lewis was consistently 2 tenths faster on a new tyre in q1 and q2 and felt he ...

Mercedes: Russell This is, by far, the strongest driver pairing on the grid, and not for the first time ended up being a difficult decision between the two drivers. Russell pulled his pole position lap out of nowhere, and such was its quality that it would be a stretch to suggest that Hamilton may ...

Re: The Effect of 2021 on Max Verstappen's Legacy
His first WDC will be forever tarnished when looked at in detail, but over time everyone will forget. For me the problem is the FIA, yet another NDA with Massi just like the one with Ferrari's supposedly illegal engine. If they where transparent with this stuff the viewers would be much happier and ...

He ran a wet quali set up, if he didn't gamble onto slicks my guess was p2. I still think he would have finished p4 in the race as his setup was slower in the race than the top 3.

I just think the RBR is that little bit better than Ferrari in some key areas, it might be track dependant but doesn't seem it.
Mercs about 0.7 per lap down in races. Looking like a RedBull dominant season to me.

Re: Ferrari vs. Red Bull - 2022
I do wonder if the advantage is literally all down to tyre use. For Quali the Ferraris can light it up and get more out of the tyre but then in most races they seem to be the ones who lose pace faster on each tyre in comparison to RBR. The RBR race pace and straight line speed is so strong. I take m...

Just seen a headline linking Schumacher to Aston for next season. I assume to replace Vettel. Hmm. If true, it shows they're more interested in signing a name with potential than a driver with potential... See they have moved it to silverstone to force his hand, Also in my opinion it should be a blanket rule, so it includes wedding rings and other such jewelry. That way everyone is forced to comply and there is no wiggle rule. Would Lewis get away with it if he got married and said it was a 'Wedding N...

Max's wing I assume is the smaller one. The interesting bit is the side panel how it cuts earlier to the main beam so its like a mini DRS to the end elements.
Could be the angle of the photo though.

I was a little surprised Max was so emotional with the team in the heat of several moments, obviously disappointment comes with the car failing but i don't think I've seen him that heated in what is a first race of a season. Still gutted and wondering where I stand with the appeals stuff. Merc have every right to appeal and take it out of the FIAs hands to the highest authority possible, but do I want them to? If we update the results, to give Max wins in the races where he had incidents (Imola, Turkey and Sakhir) then the WDC looks like this: Hamilton: 333 (-14) / 9 wins (-2) Verstappen: 281 (+67) / 5 wins (+3) Bottas: 218 (-5) / 2 wins (==) Russell: 1 (-1) / 0 wins(==) Hamilton would have been 88 point...

If you look at Bottas latest statement on F1 it really seems like going up against Lewis for the last few years has completely destroyed him mentally. For me 3 reasons, 1. Admitting the junior driver programmer has failed is a huge thing for them, but I do think doing this would free them up for options now and in the future. What makes Verstappen’s 2017 and 2018 special is not only that he was faster than Ricciardo, but the gap he had over Ricciardo. His average gap over Ricciardo was almost 2 tenths in clean qualifying sessions. That’s the same gap Hamilton has over Bottas, and double the gap Hamilton had over Rosberg...

It would probably be easier to look at the difference in the cars ability to do a lap and then attribute a time against that. ...

Out of the current field i'd like to see Verstappen, Vettel, Leclerc and Riccardo. I voted for Verstappen as everyone says he's in the same league as Hamilton, that would be a powder keg waiting to go off.
I honestly feel though even Verstappen would come off second best.

i'm not sure Bottas is done yet, even with a poor showing in Canada he still seems to be on it.
If anything else the more pressure on him the more dangerous he will become to LH. He will start taking serious risks on track for overtakes etc.
It will be interesting to see.
