Re: Standing Re-starts

Racing is not fair. Drivers can die, they can be sacked in an instant, politics can ruin a career, I can think of many examples. Get over it, in the long run over an entire season, this type of situation is very rare. So a few drivers go screwed over, so what? I do feel for them, but I am not a fan ...

Re: Could next year be Vettel's final nail in the coffin?

Seems to be a bunch of folks wondering if Team Red is giving Seb the same kind of car they are providing to Charles. When a driver is on his way out of a team, certain things begin to happen. He is barred from technical briefings, so that he may not carry any new "secrets" to any other team. Thus, ...

Hence I believe the FIA have to look at this and make improvements. I agree, they have to make it idiot-proof. Oh, wait, does a bright flashing light directly in front of a driver qualify? Understand this: drivers need to insert themselves into the decision-making process instead of allowing themse...

So you're all for safety but think that the safety procedures themselves should be difficult to follow? They are not difficult if drivers pay attention reading the regulations and during the driver's meetings. I always advocate for simpler solutions, especially when it comes to safety. But the layo...

No driver is ever looking to the outside of any corner. In fact, it would be dangerous for them to be looking to the outside of a corner as they wouldnt be looking where they were going. Re: POLL: Hamilton/Giovinazzi penalties

In practice what is the difference between a five minute stop/go penalty and a DQ? If you're going to be put that far behind you might as well park it. For a DQ, the team is not allowed to decide to retire. A crippling penalty places the onus on the team to withdraw, forcing them to deal with their...

I hate, I despise boring processions where most of the field is in the same position as they started. I also have a strong distaste of any team dominating. Interested in what the two people voting too lenient think the penalty should be - DQ? I was one who voted "too lenient'. My position is determined from the safety viewpoint. I do not advocate DQ, but I endorse a harsher (even draconian) on-track penalty, such as a five minute stop-and go. Breaking...

If one is going to trash Bottas, then Verstappen must be included. He also botched the start, and failed to advance once things settled down.
