Hamilton was going to win this race even without the safety car imo. He was so much faster. That is pure biased conjecture. Bottas was the quicker driver in practices and qualifying. He won the start, and was ahead when the safety car came out. We shall never know how things may have played out if ...

Vettel is fast, and can race, but that quote of Alonso's along the lines of "lets see how good he is when he doesn't have the best car" is ringing louder every race. One can apply that saying to ANY driver, without exception. When a quality driver is placed in a pressure situation and fighting uphi...

Formula One fans .. Vettel has a bad day and they are planning his retirement dinner. Yes, he can make mistakes, but he is still very quick. Sainz my first pick, and Ricciardo second for the same reason. Both drivers drove an excellent race and got the maximum their cars could deliver. Leclerc third. The man definitely stamped his authority within Ferrari.

Whether or not Verstappen desires to pursue a drive at Mercedes is not primarily dependent on ego or a desire to have a legacy, but money. Red Bull's method of driver salaries has been contrary to other teams, in that the baseline salary sucks, but the bonuses for doing well pays handsomely. That is...

Every driver in Formula One has many years of experience in passing, from their days in lower formula. So they have the experience. But now they are in a weird car with little visibility, specific behaviors, and up against all quality drivers. IMO the biggest difference is they have grown rusty. If ...

F1 MERCENARY I agree on the lack of quality control for the Aston Martin road cars. But even for their racing cars, they are prepared by Prodrive and the engine is from Mercedes. But they are not alone, many manufacturers farm out the racing preparation to subcontractors.
