Re: 2022 18" tyres tested.

Might be a stupid question but what will the performance difference be? I haven't looked into it yet... I don't know, but I guess the much smaller sidewall means they will be a lot stiffer. I assume the cars will maybe need more suspension travel to cope with hitting kerbs as an awful lot of that i...

Virtually every driver in F1 today has vastly more on track experience in racing than did the hero's of half a century ago - yes it it been that long. They have Ferrari's rear suspension - a design an concept they purchased but have had ZERO technical input into - so their understanding of it will be zero and they'll never be able to overcome its deficiencies.
Ferrari (or Vettel) has not been all that successful with it.

Re: Stewart: Hamilton not at the level of Fangio etc

It is not possible to really compare drivers of different era. With all respect to Fangio, he could not get his body into and out of one of todays F1 cars. By the same token today's F1 drivers would have to be physically larger do deal with the F1 cars of the 50's - each era has its own issues that ...

Why can't some of these races be non-Championship races where they try out some cool stuff and we can have some fun with it. We don't need more than 18 races for the World Championships proper.
Then Liberty could not charge as much for the sanctioning fee.

Considering Gasly who qualified ahead of him, RB felt he wasn't good enough to be retained at RB, why would they retain Albon next year? I really don't know why Giovinazzi gets another year. Shouldn't the same be said about Kimi in that case? Really can't say he's been much better this year. It was interesting to hear that prior to the race, Ross Brawn had said that the data showed that using the higher T1 would not improve the chances of passing. Eliminate the Fuel Flow restrictions - they don't permit enough fuel flow to even get the engines to their maximum RPM limit. Rules limit RPM to 15K and fuel flow restrictions are holding them to about 12K. There is already a maximum amount of fuel permitted - that is enough. The engine life require...

Ground effects. Skirts were banned in F1 back in 1982 because of safety fears. The cars and circuits have evolved since to the point where, surely, this should be considered again. Voila - dirty air effect mitigated. Or magnified! Dirty air that won't permit airfoils to create proper downforce will...

Track limits CANNOT be a painted line.

Exceeding track limits must be self policing - a broken wing, a damaged floor, a spin through the grass, impacting a barrier.

If nothing gets broken or damaged and time is gained by the driver - it is not a track limit.
