Re: What Has Caused the Redbull Decline?
Newey has been the ONE that was able to tie all the data inputs from all departments into a implementable solution.
That same date is coming to the 'brain trust' but nobody can tie it all together.
Newey is someone that is greater than the position he has held.

Re: New points system
Yes, I agree with you, I am not sure how handicapping one competitor makes sense, in any sport frankly. Never been a racer have you? Never played sports, have you? Played them all including against some HOF members. If you want to be the best, you have to BEAT the best - not get close and then have...

Re: New points system
As it should if you are to be a WINNER, you overcome your challenges without artificial assistance. Remember, 2nd is the first loser! By artificially handicapping the leader? Yes, that makes total sense! Your proposal makes Liberty look like its marketing people have some pretty smart ideas. I have...

Re: New points system
It is a form of the Winner earning the win - not having it handed to him. The name of the activity is RACING, not 'comply with the move over flag'! It is not handed on a plate, the driver and team in first place have simply done the best job over the weekend. You are handicapping the leader and are...

Re: New points system
Being lapped by the leader is a different kind of pass. Before the pass is completed, the car being overtaken when a Safety Car is called can continue to circulate around and catch up to the back of the field for the subsequent restart. If a driver is Overtaken by the leader - he is a LAP DOWN and ...

Even more astonishingly, Jamie Chadwick turned her first pole position into her first win having led all 20 laps from the flag at Road America. She led every lap by between 0.5s & 1.5s constantly fighting championship leader Jacob Abel & his immediate rival, her team mate Louis Foster. She becomes ...

Re: New points system
Want and exclusive point system - any FINISHER that is not on the lead lap is excluded from scoring any point. Points will be awarded to all finishers ON THE LEAD LAP. That would seem eminently fair. It might even provide a bit of an incentive to not be lapped... but that might not actually be a po...

Re: New points system
All FINISHERS should accrue points. DNF = NO POINTS - A finisher is someone that takes the checker while the car is in operation. If a team retires the car, before the checker, even if it has completed enough laps to otherwise be considered a Finisher - for points it would be DNF. The more exclusiv...

We clearly had moved on to track limits when you said that they shouldn't be monitored. I didn't say track limits shouldn't be monitored, they should be abandoned completely except for pit entry and pit exit. that wouldnt make much sense, on many "modern" tracks where is just a huge asphalt place w...

Track limits should not be open to human interpretation. The track must enforce its own limits. Exceeding track limits with one tire will cause more than 5 or 10 seconds added to a participants race time.
