Re: 2018 Chinese Grand Prix Race Thread
Ferrari had this in the bag until they tried to get way too cute with their "strategy". Just awful strategy on every single level. First, not covering Bottas' undercut attempt with Vettel. Then ruining Kimi's race by leaving him out for a disreputable reason which didn't even work and then not pitt...

I am now actively rooting against this trash team. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.

Re: Liberty's Blueprint Revealed for Formula 1 - 2021 onward
As a long term fan who stopped watching the races when F1 became "Formula Mercedes" a few years ago and am only returning to the sport this year, I for one am glad with what Liberty Media is doing with F1. Finally someone is actually treating F1 like a sustainable business and an entertainment produ...

Re: 2018 Chinese Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Threa
If Kimi had just matched his previous best S3 time he would have had pole by 0.044s. He lost quite a bit in his final run, given that he was ahead of Vettel before that last sector Lost or gave away? I'm still not convinced Ferrari are allowing a straight competition either in qualy or race, althou...

This thread will document all instances of Kimi's "bad luck" this season. Whether one believes this is actually "bad luck" or a conspiracy is upto them. Re: F1 on its deathbed?
People sit there and use any excuse why F1 has lost a large portion of it's audience but don't actually look at the basics. A good example is not everyone has Sky/Virgin Media which pretty much cuts down UK viewers. How many people simple turned over the BBC to see F1 just because nothing else was ...

F1 on its deathbed?
First off I'll start by saying I stopped watching races regularly earlier in the season. Waking up at 5 am just to watch a race whose winner ( and top 2) is a foregone conclusion, with little overtaking or action just didn't make much sense in my cost-benefit analysis. Other than the North American ...

I find the practice of Pirelli deciding which compound to chose for a race pretty idiotic and targetted towards taking any excitement out of the race. Compounds for the race should be chosen randomly, if teams need to do 4 stops to complete a race then so be it

The commercial wing of Mercedes would absolutely love it if the FIA tried to ban some key aspect of their engine. Imagine the marketing oppertunities... People are so negative around here. "oh, I've bruised my leg, this leg is beyond repair, I must amputate." Yes there are areas of the show that need addressing (not the number of helmet changes though, c'mon FIA!) but to call the sport a joke is a bit much. The sport addresses its issues every coup...

This is kind of out there but what if RedBull deliberately caused the issue with Ricciardo's car to make sure his podium and good race would be invalidated and he would not eclipse Vettel in points? This is smelling awfully similar to Webber incredibly "poor luck" in that car

I'm a McLaren fan. I wouldn't like it. It would be tolerable if there were a team that could consistantly compete with McLaren over decades. It would be no fun if we won everything all the time without good competition. Now obviously since 2005-ish there have been teams that have competed well with...
