Vettel just keep on embarrassing himself. It's his 14th spin in 4 years if my counting is correct. And fourth without contact.

Re: Mercedes steering wheels innovation

Before we all get carried away with the genius of Mercedes, lets just wait to ensure it's actually of benefit and lasts the season as something important. Indeed nobody has really shown their hand yet, in particular I would say Red Bull. We hear that every year. And then Red Bull arrives in Melbour...

Re: Mercedes steering wheels innovation

I don’t hate Mercedes for being better than Ferrari and much richer than everyone else. I hate them for not having the cojones to put a better driver in the second seat. I am personally tired of the Bottas Hamilton partnership and not Bottas's biggest fan but I have to admit that Bottas is no slouc...

Re: Mercedes steering wheels innovation

It is an obvious thing to do, so shame on other teams that didn't come up with it. This also wraps up the season for me. Mercedes will dominate this season unlike last 3 where they are matched in a lot of races by Ferrari and sometimes Red Bull. But this innovation will catapult them to the top agai...

I think it'll be almost a repeat of 2019. Red Bull will disappoint, Ferrari may look promising but flounder. Max moves to Mercedes after 4 wins at Red Bull. Vettel makes mistakes and is fired by Ferrari.

Re: 2020 Mercedes vs. Ferrari vs. Red bull

At Abu Dhabi Mercedes had a clear 0.5 to 0.75s / lap advantage over the Red Bull in the opening laps. That is an eternity and the gap can't be expected to close by 2020. I say, Mercedes will start the 2020 season clearly in front of both Red Bull and Ferrari. My guess is 0.5 sec over Red Bull in Au...

This x 1000. Ferrari is not going to win next year and Vettel is going to be out of Ferrari after next year. Said that, the next cycle is going to be for RB not Ferrari in my opinion.
Even if Ferrari win next year, it would be Le Clerck.

Yet another bad race (and quali) by Verstappen. And he had a chance at victory. It's all gone pear-shaped after the summer break. He's making Vettel good by how terrible he is right now. The man needs to sort himself out. He clearly had the pace this weekend.

Before the summer break, Verstappen was the best driver of the season, many putting him even ahead of Hamilton. The trouble is if he was at Ferrari, then Verstappen, Vettel or Riccardo would be at Mercedes by now, or Rosberg racking up the World titles without him in the way, and we'll assume Leclerc is his team mate. It doesn't mean that we can assume the 2017 & '18 Ferrari F1 cars were automatically better than the Mercs, reservoir. There appears to be a concentrated effort to diminish Vettel and big up the 2017 & '18 Ferrari.
