Don;t think Merc will dominate in the engine dept in 2021. I think all the engones will be very simliar in peformance in 2021. hence a freeze would good for everyone, not just RB

Re: 2020 British Grand Prix Practice And Qualifying Thread

I support Albon but I have to admit he is slower than Gasly. Redbull needs to get serious and get some experience in that second seat. Hulkenberg or Perez would both be a sound choice. They need someone to help steer them in the right direction. Right now they’re just going backwards. I was impress...

Yes - Max's mishaps have sucked a lot of life out of the race, and it was of his own making. Merc in damage limitation regarding brake temps. We can see Albon has the pace so imagine the pressure Max could be applying - though they are controlling the pace at the front no doubt. Wasn;t max's fault....

These horsepower figures mean little. It's only the maximum power that the engine produces right on the rev limit, it's not a great indicator of overall engine performance as it tells you nothing about what power is produced lower down the rev range. Mercedes response of "We would not talk about 10...

Ricciardo isn't as good as Verstappen and I don't think the Renault is as good as the Red Bull/Haas/Mclaren/Alfa. The drivers have been flattering the Renault as well. It's too bad Alonso isn't still driving this year, because I'd be curious to see how close it would be between Alonso's Macca and V...

On today's race I'd suggest Honda are still a bit behind Renault. It's possible of course that Red Bull have produced an average car this year but the balance of probability would suggest that their PU is holding them back, given that they looked no better (and I'd suggest slightly worse) than both...

Back on subject, I'm rather amused that it was very hard to get anyone to say a good word about Honda last year when McLaren were ditching them (I've always said they should have stuck at least for 2019/20 and changing for the new formula if they still had issues) and now it seems the majority are ...

I think that McLaren and Red Bull were a step above Lotus and Ferrari in 2012. They took poles regularly while Lotus and Ferrari struggled to compete in qualifying. Hard to disagree with that imho. Lotus had a good race car but it wasn't equal all round to McL or RB. 2012, I would say it was a batt...
