Re: Betting on F1
I could be stupid, but I was looking at the odds for F1, where they propose you choose the driver having the most points, per team. e.g. Verstappen 1.05, Perez 8.00 Not a big payout if Verstappen beats Perez, but better than your savings account interests atm. But then I saw this: Norris 1.06, Piast...

Re: Silly Season 2019
Would it help if Liberty/FIA "help" the F2 graduates by giving the top 3 some budget to use in F1? Would that raise the chances of "talent-no money" to be giving a fair chance in F1? I know this existed in Renault's ladder: the winner of F2.0 got budget for F 3.5. If the FIA takes their laddersystem...

Re: Halo confirmed for 2018!
Fair enough, the X1 is another possible design route. But going for that concept, you think all fans would immediately agree with it? There would be a lot of fuss about it. And that was my point, that we can still do a lot for improved safety, but would we all accept it? And I made the point of allo...

I don't think the floor of the Mclaren did ever hit the Halo. As far as damage to the Halo goes, from the photos I've seen the carbon fiber wrapping did crack but there's no way to know at this point whether or not there was any damage to the steel structure beneath. I really don't see why people object to a safety feature on visual aesthetic grounds. That's not an argument that holds when tested a bit, is it now? Let's cover the wheels, bc open wheels are more dangerous then closed off ones. Let's also prevent wheels getting tangled up, bc it's safer that way....

Perhaps another thing to consider: road cars don't have open wheels. Part of the water they displace, gets stopped by the overhanging bodywork. In formula racing the open wheels launch much of the water into the air, causing spray. So perhaps with ZOAB, the spray wouldn't be less, because (perhaps) ...

My view is that back in the day drivers didn't have all this information and it didn't spoil the races.
