Re: Is Ricciardo done?

Out of interest if your top 3 are Leclarc, Max, Lewis. Whose the 4th ahead of Norris. I don't really see anyone else you can currently put there. Obviously Alonso is unknown but I don't think he could currently be placed above Norris. Charles still makes too many mistakes for most to consider him a...

Re: Silly Season 2022

Enough of Hamilton's easy ride with Bottas. I've got a novel idea tho... Get George Russell in the Merc for 2022. Now why do I have this uneasy feeling, especially given how absolutely delighted Bottas is recently to play second fiddle to Lewis in terms of his demeanour and words in interviews after...

Re: Will Hamilton reach his century of wins in 2021?

Been generally unimpressed with Perez throughout the season as he's been very up and down but then I'm not really surprised and expect him to fare much better in the second half of the season. Hamilton should win what, at least 3 more races this season? James Allison seems fairly pleased about their...

Re: Forum verdict on the Hamilton/Verstappen collision

If Red Bull's lawyers can convince the FIA to allow them to change their totaled engine without a penalty, that would be a useful move. I doubt they can though, the rules are fairly strict on this stuff. This came to mind yesterday for me. I wondered if Mercedes could spread some good will by sugge...

Re: 2021 British Grand Prix Race Thread

That line he took with Leclerc was a perfect exemplification of how he SHOULD've done in the first instance with Max. Hamilton winning this one with his main rival out of the race, due mainly to his mistake, doesn't do justice to F1. Maybe Max should have taken Leclerc's line too! Exactly. Lewis ac...

Re: 2021 British Grand Prix FP & Qualy/Sprint Thread

I have to say the format is great for the qualifying stats with basically qualifying tyres throughout however as a Hamilton fan I can't celebrate a pole position that isn't a pole position. A shame Hamilton didn't put am exclamation point on the session, as he was on course for a stonker. Still, he...

It does seem that Norris is showing elite pace. On form he may well be the fastest, but I need to see at least a season of this to really give it to him. Verstappen, Leclerc, Hamilton are obviously far more proven for the moment.

Russell also remains a curious case.

Norris or Russell, but who? I have to edge it to Norris due to how proven the benchmarks are around him who he beat. So close to pole position against clearly the best car of the weekend.

Alonso was robbed of his chance to possibly be in the discussion?

Was expecting Max to cap his session with his fastest lap but in the end Norris almost pipped him. And I'm sure the Red Bull is significantly quicker in quali trim than the McLaren.

Super impressive pace from the fastest Brit on the grid. Or is that Russell?
