Pleasantly stunned by Hamilton's form and apparent renaissance. Looks like a top-3 driver on the grid right now. I wouldn't fight that hard if you put him ahead of Kimi and Maximus so far for #1.

Re: 2026 Austrian Grand Prix Race Thread
Only seem to be the Racing bulls pair that are not split by 10 to 20 seconds today. All the rest of the team mates seems to have quite e big time gap between them. It also can be noted that Lawson had fire issues to begin with, otherwise he probably will have been over 10 seconds ahead of Lindbald ...

Re: Generational Talents (split from 2026 Junior Series)
I never get into this sort of debate. But as a reader, I find very curious that in a competition where results, and even short-lived feats, are so dependant of the cars, very few posters take the car into account (Clark dominated with Lotus, what could Stewart do in a BRM ? Prost could as well have...

I'm not quite sure what it was about this season and the WDC, but it's the least hyped I've been since... I don't know when.
It felt so flat, even though it came down to a final race decider with three possible winners.

Norris can be sly tomorrow. Let Piastri overtake him on first lap & then Piastri & Verstappen keep battling till something goes wrong for both. Of course, Norris will then have Russell behind which won't be comfortable at all. How will Max approach the race, though... What tactics are in store and ...

So just how big is the gap between the best driver in F1 and the second best, whoever that is?
Are we talking Grand Canyon levels or just a modest ravine...
And I don't mean this session specifically, but the season performance.

Re: Who is favourite for the championship?
It feels like a strange end to the WDC. Even though Piastri is technically in touch, it feels like what was supposed to be a nailbiting finish is fizzling out into foregone conclusion and a damp squib. And although Piastri has apparently showed historical form for slumping during the later races of ...

Re: PF1 Forum teammate wars vote: United States 2025
The leads of Russell, Verstappen and Leclerc LOL. Crushing dominance... more predictable with Verstappen, and with Russell over a rookie, though I expected more from Antonelli. I expected Leclerc to smash Hamilton as well, but 17-1? Way too easy. Leclerc has a much lower percentage of the vote than ...

At this rate Verstappen will win more races than either McLaren driver.
I think Russell and Leclerc could be critical to this fight now. I trust Verstappen to consistently clear them, but can Norris or Piastri?

I had Norris 5th and Piastri 10th in the pre-season rankings based on what they'd done so far, with projected rankings for rookies. Norris doesn't look like he'll be jumping up from 5th and Piastri is for sure top 4 right now. Russell and Leclerc are probably faster qualifiers but Piastri has the be...

He's turnipped it again. Norris won't be winning this year at this rate, too many mistakes. Same as last year. Got himself an extra look by doing two runs, getting provisional pole by 0.001s and then getting pole by 0.010s.
