Re: Rosberg reveals some truths

If Lewis and Max ever end up constantly going at it I can see it either being some of the best wheel to wheel stuff of all time or just constantly ending in large repair bills. Neither of them will give an inch and both clearly like leaving a wheel in just to hammer home dominance. It'd be firework...

Whilst Hamilton is clearly in my mind one of the greatest drivers ever, his passing over recent years hasn't impressed me because he tends to use the technique of going down the inside and driving the driver on the outside off the circuit, leaving him no choice. He said that because he can be overly charitable at times. Rosberg wasn't faster in Malaysia 2013: Brawn tasked Lewis with hounding the Red Bulls and by the end of the race he was having to fuel save too much. Rosberg, courtesy of losing in Quali, was given a more conservative strategy, where he still had more in the tank by the end. Basically it was a var...

The greatness of Hamilton is his race pace. It’s hard to find many races where he had a race pace deficit to his team mate in a legitimate head to head. China 2018 (maybe) Russia 2017 (probably Hamiltons worst ever race in terms of pace) Monaco 2017 (maybe) Austria 2015 - the only time Rosberg pull...

I think Alonso had the better car in 2010 and arguably 2013. How I see it is that Hamilton was arguably the best driver in the field for the first 4 years of his career (I think definitely #1 in 2007, 2009, and 2010 and at worst #2 in 2008) then had his annus horribilis in 2011 (which weirdly includ...

It's funny: I would say that it is integral to the identity of F1 that it should feature the fastest road course vehicles in the world. There isn't really anything subjective about that. If another series were to have faster cars, it would basically invalidate F1.

Vettel was absolutely relentless in 2011. He took pole position on at least three occasions when McLaren looked favourites in Q3 (Hungary, Japan, Abu Dhabi). I don't think giving Hamilton and Vettel both 8s for Spa is defensible when Vettel needed a tow to get even as close as he did. I'd probably give him a 7. Without a tow, it was Raikkonen who actually looked like he could get pole outright, but his customary errors precluded that. As far as Spain goe...
