Re: 2021 Styrian Grand Prix Race Thread

Bottas costing Mercedes the WCC this year. Mercedes got 34 points which considering Red bull had a massive advantage was the best they could have hoped for. Red Bull may have got more points, but that was sort of expected. Even had Bottas got to keep his 2nd place, I can't see any change how Merced...

See you next week for another snooze fest unless it rains.
Could be worse - could be two Mercedes driving off into the distance from lap one. At least we have two teams in it and the possibility of a challenge from Perez towards the end.

In Baku 2016 when Rosberg was Hamilton's team mate, LH made a mistake with the steering wheel settings and the team weren't allowed to tell him how to fix it. He finished well down the field then - and lost more points to Rosberg than the difference between winning and losing the WDC that year. If h...

Sounds reasonable, let's be honest he doesn't make mistakes like that in normal driving.

Not really - he lost 25 points through no fault of his own. Lewis lost 18 through a mistake.

I'm sorry, but even if Bottas was off his marks in the pit, that's still no reason to blame him in any way. The man in the gun knows to shuffle along to get it lined up. We see this quite often. The point is that while they can shuffle along a bit to get lined up just fine, at Monaco especially the...

The hating on Monaco is unnecessary imo. Qualifying firstly, here, is better than a lot of races on other tracks, and offers one of the most intense moments of the season.
