Re: Attending a GP
Hi all, I have purchased tickets for the Monza GP In September. Flights, accommodation all sorted we just need to figure out how to get to Monza from Central Milan. I have done this a few times. There was (is?) a train from Milan Central to Monza station then a bus to, literally, a hole in the wall...

Re: School shooting in Connecticut. Many dead and wounded.
Luckily, from my time in the North, I do have a narwhal tusk. I also have a couple of fire extinguishers and several firearms. I am hoping to make it to my three-score years and ten so I think I've got all the bases covered and we don't have too many terrorists in Quebec but they are not unknown her...

Aaaaaand........ Here we are again. This time weather not so great, a bit of death and destruction in the West, Habs getting their collective clock cleaned and history coming back to bite us.

Oh, you'd watch.
Back in the day us old wrinklies turned up in their thousands for The International Trophy and The Race of Champions. I still remember 1975 and Tom Pryce winning in the snow. Counted for diddly-squat in terms of points but like beating The Stig it gave bragging rights.

Blake, I left London for the Arctic about thirty-five years ago so did not feel qualified to advise on current activities. I have since relocated to Quebec but I remain a Londoner (I guess in modern parlance I self-identify as a Londoner) One of the things I missed greatly was whitebait (A tiny fish...

From the airport you have a few options; both Taxi and Limo are fixed price to downtown about $40 and $60 respectively (both expect a tip approx 15%) There is a bus (never taken it so no clue good or bad) Getting around in the city I tend to use the Metro or simply walk! There are also bike rental s...

I now live in Quebec city but kept my condo in Montreal. You don't specify which areas of interest you require recommendations: Where to eat, where to stay, where to drink, what to see, what to avoid (potholes mostly), which language to speak. how to get about , shopping, drugs, the list goes on but...

In the spirit of Monty Python's four Yorkshiremen "1 am - luxury!" Anyone knows what the weather will be like during the weekend? NO!! One year in particular went to Spa (the town) and could not sit in the sun at a cafe because of the heat. At the circuit next day it absolutely pee'd down. Of the times I've been to Spa it seems it has rained more often than not. S...

Employer rights are not much better (maybe worse) here in Canada Minchy. before dismissing this "because of Monaco" you might want to take a quick squint at the 1972 race. OK J-P Beltoise's disability was not as severe as Kubica's and the BRM was supposedly very tractable in the wet but it is still one hell of an achievement (more so when you consider the quality of the ...

Even Colin Chapman was driven to excess. His cars were the fastest but also the most fragile because in his quest for less weight, he was willing to cut corners. I wish I could recall his name, but there was one driver who had the opportunity to drive for Lotus but did not pursue that path because ...

Today I have been demonstrating Moby's law.
