Webber usually gives Vettel room when they are racing fairly. Look at Korea for instance at the start Vettel got the run, Webber stayed away and let him have the corner.
Mark could have easily taken that line and forced Seb to take evasive action.

I don't see Alonso leading the championship after this race. He'd need 3rd with Vettel not scoring.

Re: Hamilton is probably the best this year
Nope. Alonso has been the best driver this year by a mile. He's dragged a car that should never even be in title contention at this stage of teh year to be just that. Hamilton has never done that with a car that's 3rd/4th fastest in his career. Hamilton may have had his best season since 2007 but A...

Re: Alonso X Lewis (Real mates?? Or Fake? )
I think they like eachother. Lewis regularly goes to visit Alonso in the Ferrari garage during his walks on GP weekends. I get the feeling both of them feel they are superior to Vettel and kind of use the mutual praise as a way of talking Seb down. Its also a bit to do with the fact that since they ...

Re: Vettel to be 15+ seconds behind 10th place after 1st lap
Don't forget though that he won't have to "sort himself out" if he starts in the pits, and I therefore don't think he will lose that much time anyway. He will get past the bottom 6 within a few laps anyway, the car is just too good, even if drivers like Heikki Kovalainen are good drivers. He won't ...

Re: Vettel to be 15+ seconds behind 10th place after 1st lap
The Torro Rosso's will let him straight through. But if he gets stuck behind Perez or Kobyashi he could lose 1-2 seconds per lap for 5-10 laps, ending even further back.
I think he'll struggle to make it into the top 10, the Force India's have been very good Red Bull road blocks all season too.

Re: Hamilton is probably the best this year
I can't think of 1 mistake Lewis has made and he has had absolutely insane pace all year. I rate him as #1 in 2012. valencia? hockenheim ? Spa? Korean ? India? and couple of poor start results in losing grid position and wasted qualifying effort. He had the best car in most of the races, while team...

Re: The Worst Car to win a world title.
Worst car to win a title? Perhaps the Ferrari F2003-GA. The Williams and McLaren were at least on a par with it until late 2003. The Williams drivers threw their title chances away handsomely and Raikkonen very nearly did win but his car was getting slower with each race. I still think that Ferrari...

Do F1 teams know which is the better engine / gearbox choice
This is something i've always wondered. Every component in a F1 car is engineered to the highest level, however surely the F1 teams know which engine is slightly better and more reliable, even to the tune of 1 horsepower and 0.001 of a compression rate. It was bought to my attention alot during Rube...

Re: The Official Mark Webber Thread
Webber seems best on tracks that involve flowing high speed corners. If there is any degree of curb hopping required and alot of right angle stop start corners he seems to be significantly weaker than Vettel. Also if you look at Marks Jaguar and Williams career, he was mostly brilliant on occasion, ...

Re: McLaren 'double sidepods'
There's still plenty of time for Hamilton to win.
Vettel was 31 points off Lewis at this point in 2010 and still won despite quite a few race defeats.
Hamilton really just needs two wins in a row, particularly with Alonso being off the podium and the gap will be reduced significantly.

Vettel is going very well. He has matched Hamilton in a car that has been around about the same for most of the year. That is a big plus for him.
