fantastic to see The Doctor back on the top step and in good form. It's funny, isn't it? Two years ago - "well, this is/was certainly his last chance at the title". Last year - "well, if he keeps it on track, he might win this title". And now this year, who can't see him contending for the title at...

Remember last year's Ferrari was in similar trouble. Even the Mercedes (Nico particulary) said that they would not be able to catch up. However the story is that they did. Agreed, we should treat celebrities like the superior beings they are and never make fun of them in the way we do, say, politicians and religious figures. I never said they should make cheap products. But in F1's case, it damages F1, because small customers teams can barely afford them. F1 engines should have a reasonable price for customers to be able to pay for them. Otherwise small teams are doomed. Afterall maybe F1 will really need a standard cu...

Niki Lauda in 1976, far and away. The politics he had to deal with, nearly being killed in a crash, coming back with his face in bandages and withdrawing from the final race, nothing will ever compare to that.

I'd suggest that forcing a cap on the resale value would perhaps get the big boys to think twice before sinking billions into R+D.... the message being that you can spend what you like on your engines but you cant make the money back by bending the smaller teams over. the only relevance needed is that they would want to use F1 as a test bed. It just illustrates how the manufacturers have taken over the direction of ...

But surely the cars are always significantly lighter at the end of a stint than they are at the beginning? yes, but now that's compensated for by the fresher tyres. "Failing miserably" would imply he never had a shot at the title, which he did multiple times Only in 2010 and 2012. That's two years out of five. In 2012 he shouldn't have had a chance, but Vettel and Red Bull made multiple blunders/DNFs in the first half of the season, and Alonso himself got a ge...
