https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV4LYuGbl6I Take a good look. When sizing up the video I think it really looks like Alonso hits Raikkonen BEFORE he looses it. You can tell absolutely nothing from that video - it's too pixelated to see what's going on. If everyone around the teams say there was no c...

I'm surprised that there isn't a lot of discussion on why he lost the car. He should have been in 4th or 5th gear, pointing straight. Maldonado had something similar but he was violently turning not pointing straight. I really wonder how he lost the car. It's a very odd crash indeed. He'd already c...

This might stir the pot. Ted Kravitz thinks they left Kimi out too long because they weren't really thinking of him and focusing on Seb instead... I fail to accept this yet. Great run by the Kimster. For the second race in a row, he had better race pace than Seb. He needs to get ahead of Seb at the start of races, though, so that he can benefit from having pit stop priority.

Seb was half a second up by the end of S2 and one huge mistake lost him quite a lot of time. Was that not in comparison to Kimi's first run (the 1:35.5 lap)? I don't think Kimi is one of the best overtakers on the grid. I would have to say he's behind Ham Alo Ric But atleast. which means he wouldn't be in the top 20% imo. This would be the Kimi who routinely made the best non-DRS passes in 2012 and 2013, would it? Here's a couple of examples. Go back an...

well, according to this lap breakdown Kimi was faster for much of the race, aside from the first stint where Seb had a small advantage. Kimi drove well today. He matched an on-form Vettel for race pace, and it's possible that he could have challenged for third but for the Safety Car. He still needs to qualify better and get ahead of his team-mate at the start of the race, though.

Bad bad race for Kimi. Luckily, no penalty for Malaysia. It was a bad start and he was unlucky with his pit stops. But there are positives to take from the race, too. I'm tickled that people reckon F1 was becoming more physical at the time and he was past it. No problem with it. Its only a question of two things: 1) Tradition (F1 has always been about 2 car teams) No, it hasn't. Two cars per team may have been the norm in recent times, but it hadn't always been so. In the 1950s teams often ran three or more cars. It was less common for this to happen in...
