Re: 2023 Belgian Grand Prix Race Thread
This used to be one of the highlights of the season. Todays highlight will be watching Max slice through the top 5 and into the lead before lap 6. He'll then get the pipe and slippers out and still build up a 30+ second lead. The other teams would be able to play catch up in days gone by but the co...

The only thing stopping Max today is reliability. The Red Bull looks bombproof though so that's pretty unlikely.

Without a double DNF Red Bull will win 23 races.
The enormous DRS advantage will see them through the field even when they qualify out of position or have poor starts etc.
Enjoy.

Re: 2023 Bahrain Grand Prix Race Thread
My main conclusion from the Bahrain GP is that the season is already wrapped up. Red Bull have a big enough advantage to win every race this season. Max will win 18-20 races because Perez isn't up to the job. They'll lap the whole field a few times this year. The cost cap has ensured that no other t...

Re: How do you feel about the Red Bull penalty for breaching the budget cap?
Lets be honest here. The reduced wind tunnel time for Championship position seems to have little or no effect on the teams on track performance. I'm guessing they just condense the program. I'd wager Red Bull are delighted to have this punishment rather than a reduction in cap space which would have...

Re: Abu Dhabi 2021 - How has it left you feeling?
The F1 season gets underway again today and for the first time in nearly 40 years I don't feel excited. I'll be honest, I thought after the debacle that was the end of last season, I'd start to get the buzz back when the cars were about to hit the track for Practice 1 of the first race. It's not the...

Re: Predict the pecking order for Bahrain qualifying
The Mercedes looks an absolute dog to drive. If Mercedes get in the top 5 in qualifying I'd be really surprised.
The Redbull looked like it was glued to the track. Ferrari just behind.
The rest look like they could all be in the mix for best of the rest.

I've never been so angry over a decision in a sport in my life. Somehow it would have been better if they'd have collided on the last lap and Max had won like that. To be given a gift wrapped title, by the guys who are meant to enforce the rules so it's fair for all, should make a real champion feel...

The Race director made that decision. It was his call. In other sports also the umpire or referee does it. IMO these things even out over a period of time whether it was right or wrong and it went on your favor or not. People need to accept it and move on :-| Just imagine if a referee of a World Cu...

When Masi was put under pressure by Horner his reply didn't even make sense.
He cracked and made the wrong decision.
This will go to CAS and it really didn't need to.
Masi is finished.

48.12 of the sporting regs: Unless the clerk of the course considers the presence of the safety car is still necessary, once the last lapped car has passed the leader the safety car will return to the pits at the end of the following lap. I think so much depends on how Lewis gets off the line and round the first few corners tomorrow on those mediums. Norris jumps him = not great Perez jumps him = disaster Not inconceivable, even likely, Lewis won't be P1 or P2 at the end on lap 1. If he is though, I have him favourite. The interview...

I'd be surprised if Max doesn't just clear off and make it a pretty boring race. Only way I see Lewis winning would be if he's able to undercut Max to get track position but with Max now on the softs I can't see a scenario where that happens. Mercedes will be hoping for a safety car break or somethi...

Max wanted to slam the door in Lewis's face, Lewis stuck his foot in the gap and the door banged back in Max's face. Moral of the story, make sure a foot isn't within range of the door when you slam it.

Lando seems to have gone to a new, very high level which has taken me by surprise.

I'm a Hamilton fan but i'd love Stroll to win this. The kid has taken a lot of criticism, some justified but mostly just because of how he got his drive in F1. He has shown pace at times but does suffer from inconsistency. Would be nice to see him put together a great winning race.
