Lewis. Got everything possible from the race, pulled off some beautiful overtakes and managed the final stint brilliantly. Lando was also great in the race and probably extracted the maximum as well but shouldn't have had to work so hard for it if qualifying and the red flag restart had been better.

Yes, they should. I don't think they should seek to overturn the result as such - Hamilton would never want his 8th WDC to be won in that manner and it would be cruel to Max, who didn't do anything to cause this mess. But for the intergrity of the sport, Merc should take it as far as they can.

I hope Merc win their appeal, if only to highlight just how very poor the critical decision making from Masi has been this year. It's a damned shame for Lewis and Max for the championship to be decided this way.
