Re: Would you swap Perez for Vettel?

At the end of last year, Vettel and Charles were quite closely matched. There was only 24 points between them but Vettel scored in less races. The qualifying wasn't a whitewash either. Obviously something has happened since then - political I assume - where it has made Vettel feel persona non grata...

If we disentangle the three F2 disciplines (which all have their caveats in measuring driver performance, i.e. pit strategy, tyre management/ experience, reversed grid ...), the following picture shows: Qualifying (average qualifying position): 1. Ilott 2 2. Zhou 4 3. Lundgaard 4.8 4. Schumacher 6 5...

Well, I remember how people emphasized Vettel's team-building and development competences when he replaced Alonso at Ferrari. In contrast to the latter, it was claimed that Vettel would never complain about the team or let the atmosphere become toxic. Well ... ;-) By the way, when Vettel was losing ...

Sebastian Vettels dream of replicating the Ferrari-performance of his childhood hero Michael Schumacher didn't come through. After more or less being fired by Ferrari, Sebastian Vettels last season with the team is turning into a farce. He will probably consider his time with Ferrari a failure, as ...

Re: PF1 Forum teammate wars vote: 70th Anniversary GP 2020

I have a question regarding the Williams battle: Latifi was ahead of Russell until he pitted 3-4 laps to the end. Why was that? It does not look like a logical strategy at first sight.
Then he quickly approached Russell and was directly behind - but did not try to attack. TO?

What are the numbers? It's a calculated score based on achieved results. How is it calculated, though? The score is the result of this Excel-formula: =(H3+I3/2+J3/4+K3/8+L3/16+M3/32)/N3*(1-1/LOG(N3))*10000-ROW(A3)/10000 H is total wins, I is total seconds and so on. This formula has already been di...

They will be reprimanded at every race throughout the season that they run the rear brake ducts in, however there is no further punishment for multiple reprimands.
This way they are really making a joke out of themselves. Embarassing.

Todt, please step down!

How can Schumacher escape a penalty for this manouevre? To be honest I thought it was more Shwartzman's fault. The move was done and he should've backed out, there's little to be gained from inching the nose up the inside going into a corner. Schumacher was just following the racing line. Anyway ra...

Some of us here had a discussion after Hamilton won his 6th WDC that even if we argue he is half a step below Schumacher or Senna — not that I think that BTW — that the way he has comported himself as a champion might be enough to give him the nod. To me, these guys competed in different eras and I...

Well, in a championship with only three contenders (teamwise), domination is a likely outcome. The races in the F1b class are close among each other - but that's all.

I'd say the Red Bull is a midfield car, or that it's not alone in its bracket and so it's in a "field" — that if Verstappen or Leclerc were in the Racing Point that they would look as strong as Red Bull over these first four races at least. Ferrari are clearly slower than Red Bull and in the next b...

I don't mind races needing multiple stops for tyres, but this needs to be the result of performance drop off, not tyres that feel fine then suddenly fail.
