Re: Hamilton/Verstappen British GP 2021 Collision Discussion

I just read on Autosport what Hamilton said yesterday. It lifted my eyebrows over the kerbs... "In terms of the move, I would do the move exactly the way I've probably done it and I did it last [time)," he explained. "In terms of how I've reviewed it and analysed, from all my experience, and my exp...

Re: How will Max and Lewis race each other for the rest of the season?

Hamilton saying hes reviewed the incident and wouldnt change a single thing about his approach. I read it as, if i went back in time id do the same again. Well after the incident he got 27 points and Max got zero and was uninjured and cost Red Bull 1.5 million dollars of their budget. Even if he lo...

Re: Hamilton/Verstappen British GP 2021 Collision Discussion

I attempted to take Max's line through Copse in a Mercedes Smart Car and I couldn't keep it on the road either, so I guess combining this with Red Bull's new evidence it proves it's a racing incident.

Re: Hamilton/Verstappen British GP 2021 Collision Discussion

With such a ridiculous bit of action from Red Bull they really should have faced some sort of action like you would in other sports. Just a fine of sorts that would go in to youth level racing. Otherwise everyone may as well appeal everything and waste everyone's time. Red Bull didn't appeal. All t...

Re: Hamilton/Verstappen British GP 2021 Collision Discussion

By chance I watched Netflix's episode on Pièrre Gasly's Italian GP win of last year. After Leclerc's crash the pitlane was closed initially, though Hamilton did make a pitstop. His penalty struck me, as I had forgotten all about it - not at all difficult at my age. :) After the restart, Hamilton re...

Re: Hamilton/Verstappen British GP 2021 Collision Discussion

The funniest thing to come out of the Red Bull protest is the joke nickname 'Whinger Spice' for Christian Horner. Regardless of how fair the criticism of him is, it's a pretty clever pun. Thanks for pointing out the Russell penalty Alien, and I agree the stewards do phrase it differently, although they don't use the word "wholly" in the case of Russell. They simply say "at fault". Joe Saward's take: The key question beyond all the yapping and griping is whether Max will do the same again if the circumstances occur, or whether he will have learned that Lewis is not going to be shoved out of the way. However, Hamilton was taking the wider line he was entitled to, and that contributed to the collision.
