Re: Rank the Drivers Midseason Performance

Looking at last years rankings Perez was at #5 and Bottas was at #10, put Perez in a top car and then he drops down to #12 one place below Bottas. https://forum.planetf1.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16165 That's a ranking of the drivers in general, not a ranking of their 2020 performance. Re: Rank the Drivers Midseason Performance

I like these polls, as collectively, they are never a million miles away. Looking at the scores and positions, I can't disagree too much tbh. Had a slightly different order, but those that are different are close. It's the power of crowd sourcing data. If you were to get 1000 people to guess the nu...

Re: Car numbers

The outline "44" on Hamilton's engine cover is nearly impossible to read with the car in motion. Same with Bottas. IMO, these numbers should be SOLID to conform to the regulations requiring contrast. Add that to the previous comments regarding the Petronas logo confusion... I can't tell these cars ...

^ This is what confused me about Grosjean's one-race ban in 2012. The stewards would have been perfectly entitled, in my view, to give him this ban on the basis of repeat offences but the reason given, as I recall, was, colliding with championship contenders. It implied that, if he'd taken out the ...

In the Hungarian Grand Prix, Kimi had an unsafe pit release, where he took Mazepin out of the race as a consequence and continued in the race himself. I haven't voted yet as I want to do some more thinking but I'm wondering if Leclerc being third on a lot of lists if a bit too high. Could Hamilton have won the race with this tactic?

I came up with a theoretical way that Hamilton could have won the race (not possible in practice because the cars would have all broken down) but I was curious if it was a technically legal loophole. Basically, the pitlane doesn't get opened until the entire grid has passed, so if Hamilton had just...

Alonso, Sainz, Ocon , Hamilton, Vettel

(My order, so Hamilton and Vettel not voted for)

Sainz deserves credit for reading the race as well as Chandok did. If the team has listened to him he may have kept third.

Alonso's defence against Hamilton denied Hamilton the win.

Hamilton saying hes reviewed the incident and wouldnt change a single thing about his approach. I read it as, if i went back in time id do the same again.
