Ok, this one is definitely not recent but I think it is a beauty: It happened the first time I ever drove a car with an automatic gearbox after quite a few years in stick shift cars only (Automatic gearboxes were few and far between around here back then): All went well until I came to the busiest r...

Engine shortage?

At Monza Vettel was told by a rather shrill voice over the radio to "stop the car, because they needed to preserve the engine"...

Does anyone know how many engines the teams have left for this season?
Will some teams be short of engines towards the end of the season? :?:

Even if a car had hit Alonso's head, side on, surely it would have beena glancing blow and his helmet would have taken the brunt? Certainly... As I am not the fastest driver around ( I.e: No excessive speeding, I just try to adapt to the traffic flow), I generally avoid passing judgment on others. Re: Is it possible to have reactive aero on the cars

F1 in effect had active aero from the mid 1980s up to 1993 with active suspension. I'm not by any means an aerodynamicist but as far as I can understand, by keeping the ride height of the car at it's optimal level at different parts of the circuit, this increased grip and cornering speeds. They did...
