Re: Hamilton Witch-hunt

i repeat then... what about Vettel in Bahrain? even if he did have 1l it looks like a driver is required to get their car back to the pits under its own power if a fuel sample is required. As I said, it is still unclear as to exactly how much fuel was left (some reports say 1.3 ltr and some say he ...

Re: Hamilton Witch-hunt

The rules are the same for everyone and the punishment is what it is. Harsh but it would be the same for anyone. To say that the FiA are singling out Hamilton is ridiculous. The car didn't have enough fuel in it, simple as that. Either the team messed up their sums or the driver was pushing too muc...

Re: Hamilton Witch-hunt

Well done McLaren for messing it up again. They only need another 1L if that and he would of still got pole (maybe 1-3 tenths slower but that was still enough) Just another silly mistake again from McLaren. The rules are the same for everyone and the punishment is what it is. Harsh but it would be ...

Re: Lewis Hamilton loses Spanish pole because of rules on fu

The rules are clear. The car has to have at least 1 ltr of fuel left at the end of qualifying and the race for scrutineering. It didn't so a penalty was correctly given. Harsh as the driver pays for what is most likely a team mistake but it's the same for everyone.

I see your 'ice cold' and raise you a broken window closing mechanism on the Welsh coast. ducking FREEZING!! Yeah I'm just across the water from you & I had a brass monkey call to the door & ask if I knew where he could find a good welder. I see your broken window closer and "ice cold" and raise yo...

Re: 11 wins, 15 pole positions, 33 podiums

Massa is a good driver but through a combination of factors (loosing the 2008 championship despite driving the better season, near fatal crash in 2009 and being Alonso's team-mate) he isn't able to show his true worth. Stick him in a decent car and he'll get his confidence back and will win again.

Re: Di Resta to Ferrari! (Good or Bad?)

I feel sorry for whoever sits in the 2nd Ferrari, especially with Alonso in the other car. Much that I'd like to se di Resta in a front running team, I'd hate for him to end up being someones tailgunner/tea boy/sacrificial lamb.

His destiny lies with Merc' if they remain in F1.

Re: Best F1 car never to win a race? Worst F1 car to win a r

The JS45 is a good contendor to be the best car to never win a race. Panis was getting some good results before his crash.

Worst car to win a race that I can think of would be the Jordan EJ13.

Lewis Hamilton?

Re: Official Top Gear Thread

James May is the best of teh 3 Top Gear presenters. I've seen him present a few other programmes and he is good and entertaining. Richard Hammond is just an angry humourless shortarse - 'nuff said. Jeremy Clarkson is Jeremy Clarkson. The challenges are usually the most entertaining but I am getting ...

Re: No more lollipops

Does anyone know why all teams now use 'traffic lights' at pitstops instead of the 'lollipops'? By having a sensor on each wheel gun it is possible to have the system of telling the driver they are good to go fully automated however human input is still required to over-ride the system to avoid an ...

Re: The Butterfly Effect

Complete speculation but maybe if Interlargos 2003 with the massive crash where Alonso broke his legs we'd have more races in the rain instead of running around behind the safety car all the time? I wasn't aware that Alonso broke his legs then? And if he had, there's no way we'd be allowed more wet...

Re: The Joke Thread

I was driving along the other day when I accidently ran into the back of the car in front. Bit of a fender bender but nothing too serious. Anyway this midget gets out of the car in front and walks up to my drivers side window, which I rolled down. "I'm not happy" says the midget. "OK" I said, "Which...

Re: I watch Formula One because...

There's something about seeing man and machine pushing to the absolute limit and then a bit more that appeals. When I started paying attentoin to F1 Schumcher was doing this at pretty much every race in what was often not the best equipment. Don't really see that sort of thing too much these days wi...

Evening all! :] Andrew from Aberdeen here just signed up and looking forward to some good F1 banter on here. F1 fan since mid-90's. I mainly support Vettel, Schumacher and Raikonen but I'm not too fussed who wins as long as it's not Button, Hamilton, McLaren, Alonso or Ferrari (though I cheer for Ma...
