Re: Maldonado has done it again
Some of you seem to have forgotten the incident where he took out Grosjean in Australia. Now it was clear he was purposefully shoving him WAY off the track, much more than he needed to because he'd pretty much been guaranteed the place after the apex. But that pointless stupidity ended Grosjean's ra...

Re: Formula One team wear - overpriced?
Yes, absolutely. But I'm glad they have a range of different ones and prices. I was at Silverstone today and got a decent silky polyester white McLaren shirt that mimics the race-suits for £25, which is pretty standard for popular band conerts. They had the official rocket-red victory shirts for aro...

Team principals to test drive their cars?
Was just browsing through the results centre on the site and came across this: http://www.planetf1.com/results/#/driver-standings/2012 Anyone have any idea why it lists all the team principals as drivers (on 0 points each of course)? I understand the adittion of third drivers, just in case they sit ...

I hate the idea of a Russian GP because I can't face the commentators puns about rushin' around. Croft: "Well Martin, Hamilton seems to be in a rush today" Brundle: "I know Crofty, everyone is Russian around here" And the award for worst joke goes to............. And Petrov comes into the pits for ...

I don't mind the lack of focus on certain things or the bias towards drivers, the mistakes are a bit annoying I'd agree, but the worst thing of all is that whenever something interesting happens, "Crofty" SHOUTS AT THE THE TOP OF HIS VOICE AS LOUD AS HE POSSIBLY CAN FOR AS LONG AS HE CAN BECAUSE WIT...

Re: Pathetic defending from Rosberg
I think the reason he didn't get penalised mid-race was because he hasn't been consistently like this. What most people forget is that the FIA consider previous behaviour when dishing out penalties, hence why Hamilton and Schumacher seem to get a lot whilst Rosberg didn't. His repeat offences this ...

Re: Kimi - lacking killer instinct?
It's his fourth race back in an F1 car. I think everyone here knows he's gained a lot more respect by giving it a go, showing he can challenge for the victory and ending up with 2nd, rather than blazing through the midfield only to stuff it up Vettel's gearbox and retire with nil pwa. Have patience....

They have a good understanding of the car in quali, but a bad understanding of how to manage tyres and race strategy. Lets hope they can knock their heads together over the break and have it figured out by Barcelona.

It's interesting and gives more than two drivers the chance to win a race. I'd take this over 2004's setup any week. I dont like how it encourages tyre nursing though. Racing should be about pushing the hardest, and not care that much about tyres. I don't like it either, as you and others said, it ...

Yeah teams can now decide if they want to do team orders or not. If your team is balanced and fair like Lotus, Williams etc, there's no need for it. If it's floundering, corrupt, unbalanced, unfair and you have favouritism for one driver like Ferrari, order away. Er....Lotus still has the DNA of th...

Grosjean has turned out to be a very good driver
After the misfortune in Australia and rookie mistake in Malaysia, it seems he's finally found his grove. He overtook both Rosberg and Button by the first corner, matched Raikkonen's pace for most of it and was going faster than him for a few laps. His overtakes were very reminiscent of his GP2 perfo...

The one you just watched? Yes it was a buzzkill that Raikkonen couldn't get past Vettel, I was shouting him on myself, but that was far from a boring procession such as Valencia last year.
