Re: 2016 Chinese Grand Prix Qualifying Thread
Hulkenberg clearly didn't think he could make the top ten so he pressed the wheel release button to guarantee his P10 place. Shocking tactics.

Re: New Qualifying Format Binned Official (Not Really)
Could we potentially see a situation here where the top teams deliberately keep their cars in the pits during the last few minutes of the qualifying sessions to ensure that it appears as terrible as it was in Australia?

Don't worry, we've still got Azerbaijan on the cards.
If Bernie can now get rid of Spa, Silverstone and Monza, I think we're well on the way to F1 becoming camel racing in the desert.

I like to see this type of thing. A fascinating insight into Rosberg's mindset. Screw the team, he wants to see his teammate DNF because realistically it's his only chance of a World Championship if Hamilton continues to drive the way he did.

A very bad season opening. Several cars circulating at big intervals; it felt like a feeder series race. The rules are just preposterous at this point. I wonder how the cost factor, performance factor and entertainment factor would be without the batteries/hybrid energy recovery part of the equation, 1.6 litre turbo engines, unlimited boost, no engine restrictions, they could even base them on production blocks and get over 1000hp. We would still ...

Re: McLaren open to helping a smaller team get to Melbourne
Given how the initial test of the Honda engine went it would make a lot of sense of they could use Caterham as a b-team. And it would keep Magnussen fresh and ready for a race seat at McLaren in a couple of years. Hmm, could this be one of the reasons this driver line-up took so long to announce?
