Re: Improving Monaco? Just get rid of the seafront chicane!

Check out this video from 1962. The cars are comparatively tiny and the track looks huge compared to today as a result: sCv-dIFGcd0 The lack of any kind of safety provision is scary - from the sharply angled curbs to pedestrians wandering about and even a truck parked on the course! Interesting to s...

Re: Driver(s) of the Day - 2019 Monaco Grand Prix

Thank you, I feel like I have to spell everything sometimes But teams discuss ALL OF THEIR STRATEGIES BEFORE A RACE. This is in no way any different whatsoever to any other predetermined strategy, such as when they are going to pit, dropping back to preserve tyres, the order they will use the tyre ...

You are right on that, it is a public discussion forum. You do not seem to like being challenged though, but hey, no worries. I explained why I would regard it a bad order, when you prohibit the two team mates to race from before the race even starts. As I said before (and you conveniently brushed ...

Re: Rank the Drivers Poll (Summer 2019)

Perez is so underappreciated He's in eighth place, behind only Hulk and the top six drivers. I think he might deserve to be up a place (he's arguably better than Hulk) but I don't think he's being badly underrated on this poll. There are years where I would have said he was better than Bottas, but ...

Surely 0% tyre life is down on the canvas? yep that's how I'd normally read it too which is why I'm calling it out as I don't think it's possible to drive 20 laps while maintaining the same pace as previously on bare canvas. They did nothing of the sort. The tire was on 0% life for the last 20 laps of the race . That wasn't part of the plan. They got it wrong; plain and simple. Funny thing is that there was no logical impetus to use the Medium tire. No one behind him used it and even if they had; it's Monaco. There is ...

I don't really have an awful lot of sympathy for Bottas tbh as I think he was asking for a close call by bunching everybody up coming into the pits. I see it as a racing incident myself and I don't agree a penalty was warranted. To be fair, Bottas was asked by his team to back off Hamilton. https:/...
