Re: Agreement reached on 1000bhp V6 engines for 2017,

This actually sounds really exciting to me. I totally agree that it's horrible for teams, and many suppliers no doubt after just introducing the new engines. Going totally against the cost saving and all that. That said, I think they also noticed that the changes made for last season are simply hurt...

Re: If F1 really did 'collapse'

Boring answer would be that shortly after two camps would be formed, It would be pretty easy for me to pick the main series to follow seeing what drivers are where, what teams, management and possible other changes would be set in stone. I also doubt that in the long run both could survive as a majo...

Re: Abu Dhabi GP Qualifying and Race Thread

Almost as good setup for tomorrows race as you could realistically hope for tomorrows race for somebody who is neutral on the 2 Merc boys. Williams looks close enough that they can punish if one of the Mercs makes a mistake or got some problem. Like Bottas kind alluded on the press conference, on ra...

I can hardly believe Hamilton managed to melt 7 seconds distance. They have seemed close on pace this week, with Rosberg looking ev...

As a Finn too bad about that Bottas start, but at least we got a lots of overtakes from him. Also can't complain about Williams getting their max result in a normal race and Massa finally snatching podium place.

Nah, nothing.
If that happened second time, or Hamilton was just about overtaking, then penalty would be in place. Now Alonso raised his hands as he get back to race track and the difference was the same right away.

I think F1 is one of the few sports where the more you learn about it, the more enjoyment you get from it. That's the case for every sport there is. One of the many reasons we tend to follow sports that are popular in our own country. People looking at football for the first time might think they j...

So many amazing drives today. Was a quality race of that. Bottas (with some Finn bias in the mix), Alonso (could as well give it to Ricciardo and Alonso) and Hamilton that did all he could. I do think F1 moving to pay channels in many countries probably have had the largest impact in Europe. F1 used to be coffee table talk subject back in Häkkinen's time in Finland, but that changed after F1 went to pay channel. Same goes for Red Bull dominance now moving to Mercedes, that is even more...

Still seems quite unlikely he could actually pass Massa, even with slightly newer tires.
