Went to Quali today. I have only one thing to say: you do not need earplugs anymore.
And this is not good I think.

Re: Engine Sounds
Seems like the sound loudness is dropping much faster further you go from the track. Previous years I could hear them very well in my office (10km away) - didn't hear a thing today. Will need to go to the track tomorrow to be able to actually hear them!

Re: Advice needed on Australian GP tickets
If you want cheapest available option you need to buy general admission tickets online before end of January I think - follow up on the website. You get the tickets by email and print them on your printer, no need to collect. After that date they cost a little bit more. You can buy the GA tickets on...

I was at turn 3 today, what a great day at the circuit! Lotus seems done a great job, the car looks on par with RB and Ferrari and better than both on tires. After the race I walked on the track and there were lots of pieces of the tyre rubber - much more than last year I think. Lotus need to take a...

I doubt it will be Honeywell. Honeywell are massive in Australia with all their security systems and HVAC/building control. I don't think they would miss the opportunity in Australia. I might be wrong (hope I am) but I don't think Honeywell will be their title sponsor.

GA is a pretty good value in Melbourne, from experience. Grandstand is more convenient, but GA gets you much closer to the action. Here is what I suggest (done it last year and it was great): On Saturday, for the practice head to the hill on turn 9/10, gives you a very good view from distance and th...

Lotus-team's goal is to be 3rd in WCC-standing next season. In order to achieve that they need two drivers who score points evenly and surely. *Definitely True*, you need to win races. Totally agree. To beat one of the top 3 Lotus will need to win more races. And RoGro got the speed to have a shot ...

From official CNN page: "But the German, who was heard to be angry on the team radio after Hamilton passed him, blamed Force India backmarker Narain Karthikeyan for slowing him down at a critical moment of the race." :D They are learning, but they will get there :) The race was great fun to watch

Kimi's racing this year rightfully earned him a lot of fans. Speaking from personal experience
If I think about 5 most exciting moments in the 2012 races till now, Kimi is easily behind 2 or 3 of those. And we still have 3 races to go.

I went to my first GP this year, in Melbourne, after watching F1 since 94'. I wish I wouldn't wait for so long. I'd personally go for Senna because he is decent and is improving, but Williams will definitely go for Bottas for 2013.
If Senna keeps improving and shows some sparks in next couple of races, he might have a shot at Ferrari because of Santander and Fiat in Brazil. But he is running out of time.

Unfortunately Imola '94.
Since that weekend got hooked up, with some brake during Schumi boring dominance, but got back to it after he left and still here.
Went to my first GP this year, wish I did it before.

1. Vettel's superior performance was really due to EDB. I thought it was just a rumour, but clearly it wasn't. 2. Red Bull are nothing special without EBD and specific engine mapping. They won not because their aero department is head and shoulders ahead, but more because of one clever trick. 3. We...

This onboard from Vettel gives some other angle
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=en ... a-1fg&NR=1
From that angle, seems that Grosjean should have moved, as Alonso had enough space to pass Hami.

He did the right thing but not in a smart way. He should not have settled for 6th if he had a chance to get Alonso, he is there to race and that's what he did. I was there at the grand prix, and before the drivers parade they showed short interview with Kimi on the local GP TV.
It was short as usual, the reporter asked him "Kimi, could you tell what happened during Qualifying?"
He siad " Ye, we f&#^ed up".
I love the guy, although I am Maccas fan.
