107% rule is not rigorously enforced, it is only implemented to weed out slow cars (mobile chicanes), I think they will overlook that rule for the current champion in a relatively fast car.

The run off area is too easy, that's what needs to be sorted. Not just a Montreal but other circuits too, the first chicane at Monza is a good example of how it could be done.

Re: (Radically Edited) Grand poll about Rosberg's qualy inci
The reason I think it was deliberate is not because of the wiggle or how much later he was braking it's his line on the second run after he goes around the depression in the straight. All of the drivers know the line around Monaco and follow it repeatedly with amazing accuracy probably to within plu...

At the risk of being pedantic there's no quote from Wolff stating that Nico used a disallowed engine map in Bahrain, just an inference from ESPN with the "last couple of races" remark, but that could mean anything. In the quotes I'd seen before Lauda specifically mentions Lewis and Barcelona and st...

It's his line that makes me think it was deliberate. After rounding the dip in the road he doesn't go anywhere near the barrier on the left on the second attempt which for me is very odd.

He is driving with his brain much more this year, there is no point in him beating Nico by more than a few seconds because he is thinking long term about engine life over the season. Last few seasons the engine life was much more predictable after many years of reliability and Seb could do the faste...

I'm very much NOT a maldo fan, but it didn't seem he did anything stupid. He headed for and hit the apex, without sliding wide afterwards. Guti seemed to turn in a bit too much from his initial, wider entry(allowing for maldo?) and their tyres touched and launched him. Maldonado's line to that corn...

Although Vettel and Hamilton retired early with engine issues provided the engine and ancillaries are ok they could end up with an advantage; their PU's have done one race distance less than their teammates. I am sure this will equalise over the season but it might not be as catastrophic as it seems...

Traditionally overtaking is done by planning the move, building up momentum and being canny on the brakes. DRS and a power boost are both artificial. DRS was implemented because of the aero issues for the following car during the exhaust blowing era but I still think it is needed. My concern is the ...

Actually, unless I am totally misunderstanding things, just checking the amount of fuel left (as some have suggested as a true indicator if a team has gone over the 100) has no relevance to this situation. Would a team/driver not be able to use more fuel when they wished (ie push-to-pass) for certa...

The teams that complied were running at a lower threshold to follow the directive. It is highly unlikely that RB's own readings are mor...

Surely the ECU is a management computer and is only as accurate as the information that is sent to it by the various sensors. To use the ECU as a method of achieving accuracy is misleading. Re: Can someone explain what 'exceeded the fuel flow' means?
As I understand it it's a secondary way of restricting the power of the engines. The first method which has been in use for some years now is to limit the rpm, this year it is 15,000 rpm. This year they have added a second method and restricted the maximum fuel flow to 100kg per hour. It is a power ...

Horner is being insincere in his protestations or really dim, it doesn't need Saward to point this out. After multiple requests by the FIA to make adjustments before and during the race he ignores them, goes ahead with his own option then has the temerity to exclaim surprise at the DSQ.
