Re: Driver(s) of the day - 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix
Bearman #1 Magussen #9,307,211 Mag's score is so impressive since no other driver gets away with scaring everyone else every time he's challenged without getting a Masi holiday Simply feisty driving on the edge, but not over it in my view. The commentators on F1TV thought that both penalties were q...

Re: 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Race Thread
I think K Mag was the stand out performer even though he made some iffy moves. He was intentionally holding rest behind inspite of 2 penalty still had the speed to still only loose 1 place. Haas is the best midfield team. Ferrari as well had good pace and I think good performance from Perez as well.

K Mag, Max, Bearman.
Ferrari is second best team, I think fastest in qualifying as well and Haas seems to best midfield team.

Max 25secs ahead Ferrari and 46secs behind Mercedes. They have big advantage in the race still. Yuki got screwed big time. He was always P10, P11 they allowed others to under cut him and then at the end his team mate as well who was slower both in qualifying and race. Yuki just isn't that good pass...

Re: 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thread
Ferrari have the speed, RBR advantage is in the race. Lot of people question Max qualifying pace but it is more that Leclerc has faster car in qualifying and Max is obviously in the races. It is good that times are close among teams.Vicky_balboa wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 5:14 pmLerclerc at the end of Q2 put in a faster lap than his Q3 time.

Re: Hamilton vs Leclerc
I think it will be similar to how it was with Vettel. Hamilton will have some good races but Leclerc IMO is one of the best and should be on Max level. Surely by now should be at his peak ? Many driver like Kimi and Alonso said they are as good if not better during their later part of career but I a...

Re: Hamilton to Ferrari for 2025 Season
Wow never saw this coming. Obviously he still love racing and needs a new challenge but Leclerc is going to be too fast for him. I wish Leclerc had swapped with Hamilton. I think Leclerc has a better chance to win the title outside Ferrari. Anyways 2025 is going to be fun with 2 top drivers in Ferra...

Re: Red Bull's Checo Conundrum
Max would not have got penalty for this. Norris had space and surely he knew Perez is making a move. In Singapore Max did similar and Russell turned into him and got a penalty but anyways Perez had the pace and should have made clear pass and got the podium.

Yes, it is and will be crazy if someone can beat it in future. Vettel at his peak in RBR was also amazing but Max barely had a bad performance.

Re: 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Race Thread
Sainz and Hamilton looked so out of sort this weekend, has to be their worst race this year. Leclerc should have overtaken Max when he had a chance and Perez again making a mistake at the end this time missing a P3. Not sure 1pitstop was good strategy here but it was impressive performance from Yuki...

Mclaren and AM have shown big gains can be made. Where as Ferrari as usual have disappointed again and Mercedes also made a worse car than 2022. If top teams can take points from each other it can be exciting. Over time teams do get closer without much change in rules. Though Max is the most consist...

Amazing performance from Norris. He could have challenged Max if he was not out in Q1 I think. Yuki too had impressive pace. He was with in 4secs to Norris and they both started behind. Piastri is amazing talent but he is very weak in the races. Both AT drivers were faster than him in the race.

Perez gifting everyone an extra place. I do not think RBR would be able to stop Max not to go for win even if Perez had taken the lead anyways. So another podium lost by Perez. He needs to finish P2 with somer respect now and forget about winning a race or beating Max.

AM were much faster today both started in pitlane and both would have scored points. Stroll best race I think. Not sure what happened to Ricciardo he was slow all weekend but in the race he had no pace at all. Perez is going to loose his P2.

Re: Red Bull's Checo Conundrum
I think Perez will have some good races and finish P2. Then next year they will evaluate his performance in first half and make a call on him, if he is really this bad they will temporary replace him with whichever driver in AT is doing well. For 2025 they will keep their options open.

Re: Red Bull's Checo Conundrum
There is no way Perez is this bad. They have to support to him, though if he fails to finish P2 this year he probably deserve to be out. Not sure Ricciardo deserves the spot either. He has to beat Yuki comfortable first so it will be interesting to see if he can even do that ?

Re: 2023 Japanese Grand Prix Race Thread
It was good race overall. But Perez has had a shocker. Also some strange strategies. Max fastest on all session. If he is P1 after lap1 he is going to be some way ahead of rest. Piastri is doing amazing job, he was fast in SPA and fast here as well which is a driver track, he has bright future for sure. IMO RBR should go for Piastri for future. For AT I would go for Yuki and Lawson. If they go Ricciardo that means they rate his experience and knowledge and consider that important factor. Since Ricciardo is also a factor in the silly season talk of '23, I wonder how much of an eye opener is his latest pic showing the injury he got at the Dutch Grand Prix. It was good race, the mixed condition definitely heped some especially Gasly. Surprisingly there were lots of overtaking and Alonso made some great moves. Lawson P13 was also unexpected. But I think both Mclaren and Mercedes underacheived this race. Yuki too was doing well than the P16 result.
